The sense of meaning of life is an individual’s understanding and perception of the value of self-existence and the meaning of life.The loss of sense of meaning of life will not only damage the individual’s mental health,but also lead to maladaptive social functions.Middle school is a critical period for the formation of individual sense of meaning in life.For adolescent middle school students,having a high level of sense of meaning in life is a key factor for individuals to mature and adapt to society.This research includes two parts,the study used a "sense of life questionnaire","childhood psychological abuse scale","Wallace self-concept scale" and "Jane edition friendship quality questionnaire investigating in anhui province,jiangsu province,a total of 1984 middle school students,to explore psychological abuse,self-concept,friendship quality,the relationship between the meaning of life are four.In the second study,40 senior high school students were selected as the research objects,and 10 group psychological counseling activities with self-concept as the theme were carried out to explore the path to improve the sense of life meaning of middle school students.The results are as follows:(1)The life meaning of middle school students is above the average level,and there is significant difference in whether they are the only child or not,but no significant difference in gender,location of different schools and grade.(2)The degree of psychological abuse of middle school students is low,and there are significant differences in gender,only child and grade,but no significant differences in the location of different schools.(3)The self-concept of middle school students is above the average level,and there are significant differences in different school locations and grades,but there are no significant differences in gender and whether they are the only child.(4)The friendship quality of middle school students is above the average level,and there are significant differences in gender,only child and grade,but no significant differences in different school locations.(5)Sense of meaning of life was significantly positively correlated with self-concept and friendship quality,psychological abuse was significantly negatively correlated with sense of meaning of life,self-concept and friendship quality,and self-concept was significantly positively correlated with friendship quality.(6)Self-concept plays a partially mediating role in the relationship between psychological abuse and sense of life meaning,that is,psychological abuse of middle school students will affect their self-concept level and lead to loss of sense of life meaning.(7)Friendship quality regulates the first half and direct path of the above mediation process.In other words,psychological abuse negatively predicted self-concept and life meaning in high and low friendship quality,but psychological abuse negatively predicted self-concept and life meaning in high friendship quality group.(8)Group can effectively improve the level of self-concept and life meaning of middle school students.
