Childhood is an important stage of life development, and the individual’s selfidentity is gradually formed during this period.Erikson proposed in the eight-stage theory of personality development that self-identity is the main task of children’s socialization stage. If there are problems with self-identity during the socialization process and cannot be effectively solved,it will not only lead to children entering adolescence easily to form relatives.Apathetic personality, lack of caring awareness, and will have a lasting adverse effect on adulthood. However, children in intergenerational education families are more likely to have self-identification problems than children in other parenting modes due to the influence of factors such as family, school, and peer groups. In the practical process of this paper,D is selected as the service object, and the semi-structured interview method and the scale method are used to collect the client’s data to understand the current situation and needs of the client.repression;care too much about the self-evaluation of others;deny self-worth.The study found that the reasons for their self-identity problems are as follows: the low frequency of parentchild interaction in the family;the negative influence of peer interactions;the individual’s belief system.Under the guidance of the ABC theory, the author uses the rational emotion therapy model to replace the irrational way of thinking with the rational way of thinking to help the client change the irrational belief and establish a rational belief system,so as to reduce the emotional distress and anxiety caused by the irrational belief.behaviors to help clients resolve self-identity issues and restore client confidence.By comparing the pre-and post-test data of the self-identity scale, interviewing important others around the client, and the social worker’s observation of the client,it can be found that the client’s self-identity level has recovered, and he begins to affirm his self-worth and can correctly understand others’ evaluation of himself.,the self-identity problem has been resolved. After the intervention, the author learned through interviews and observations that the client had changed well after the intervention, which once again proved that this model has a certain effect on solving the problem of self-identity.Finally,the author summarizes the practical experience of intervention and the insufficiency of the article through reflection on social work intervention in selfidentity and thinking on rational emotional therapy model, and hopes that this model can be widely used to help young people solve self-identity problems also hopes that the article can provide useful information for future related research.
