In China, the problem of adolescent smoking has become an important research topic in the field of education and public health.Exploring and understanding the causes of adolescents’smoking behavior and proposing targeted solutions are of great significance for reducing the harm brought by smoking and promoting the healthy and continuous growth of adolescents.According to the theory of the social-ecological system, adolescent smoking behavior can be regarded as the result of the combined effect of environmental and individual factors.Based on the adaptation of the"Adolescent Smoking Environment Questionnaire"and its validity test, this study explored the effects of a smoking environment, psychological flexibility, and social class on adolescent smoking behavior and its mechanism. This study was conducted using the method of a questionnaire survey.Study 1 is a test of the reliability and validity of the adaptation of the"Adolescent Smoking Environment Questionnaire",which provides a scientific tool for assessing the smoking environment of adolescents. To explore the relationship between class, psychological flexibility, and adolescent smoking behavior,Research 2 used the"Adolescent Smoking Environment Questionnaire","Social Class Questionnaire","Psychological Resilience Scale",and"Adolescent Smoking Behavior Questionnaire"to conduct a questionnaire survey of 3,703 middle school students in four ordinary middle schools in Hunan Province,China. The results show that(1)The Cronbach’s a coefficient of the adapted"Adolescent Smoking Environment Questionnaire"is 0.654,and the confirmatory factor fitting index is x~2/df=5.233,RMSEA=0.049,CFI=0.863,IFI=0.863,GFI=0.945,AGFI=0.931,TLI=0.842.The total scores of the Adolescent Smoking Environment Scale are highly correlated with each subscale, and the subscales are moderate to low-level;(2)Smoking environment is significantly correlated with the adolescent smoking behavior(r=0.166,p<0.01;r=0.075,P<0.01;r=0.142,p<0.01;r=0.340,p<0.01),which means that the looser the smoking environment, the higher the smoking rate will be among young people;(3)The young people’s smoking environment influences smoking behavior through the mediating effect of psychological elasticity influence(x~2/df=0.007,GFI=1.000,AGFI=1.000,IFI=1.000,NFI=1.000,CFI=1.000);(4)The mediating effect of psychological elasticity is regulated by social class, and the size of the moderating effect is 0.0409,leading to the establishment of the moderated intermediary model. This research has reached the following conclusions:(1)The indicators of the"Adolescent Smoking Environment Questionnaire"meet the statistical requirements and can be used for empirical research;(2)There are gender differences in the scores of the public tobacco environment and smoking behavior among adolescents;(3)Adolescents’psychological resilience plays an intermediary role between adolescents’smoking environment and smoking behavior;(4)There is a mediating effect of social class in regulating psychological elasticity.
