Investigation Of The Smoking Situation And Influencing Factors Of Students In Vocational Schools

ObjectiveIn recent years,China has been making efforts to limit the tobacco using.The admission rate of high school in nearly two years in SZ city are maintained at 42%.That means that nearly half of students may be diverted to vocational schools.The smoking rate in this population continues to be rising,will seriously affect the formation of this group of people's good habits and the quality improved of health,will bring negative influence to the whole society.By Investigation to get the information of the knowledge,attitudes and behavior of students in vocational schools to know smoking status and the influencing factors about vocational school students' smoking.In a timely manner to understand the situation of smoking about sz vocational school students to pay particular attention to the aggravating trend of younger age of smoking,and female smoking rate increased and so on.which will provide the basis for formulating effective intervention strategies and measures.Not only conducive to the moment,and it is also of long-term significance for fiscal expenditures to mitigate the treatment of diseases caused by smoking in our country in the future.MethodWe chose the students of four vocational schools in North District of SZ International Education Park as the research subjects and take a cluster sampling method,randomly selected about 14 classes students for the questionnaire survey.Among them,there are four classes in medical related majors,ten classes are belong to non-medical major.There are five classes in secondary vocational school and nine classes in higher vocational school.The survey includes 56 questions including personal information,smoking and smoking related knowledge,attitudes and behaviors.We let the trained student counselor serves as an investigator.After explaining the purpose of investigation and the method of filling in,the students should fill it out by themselves.EpiData3.1 software is to be used for double input and logical consistency testing,SPSS10.0 was used for data statistical analysis.ResultsOn-site distribution and recycling survey.A total of 550 questionnaires were sent out,and 540 were recovered with a recovery rate of 98.18%.A total of 533 valid questionnaires were collected.The total number of smokers who was or are smoking is77,about 61 boys and 16 girls,with the smoking rate of 14.5%.Among 213 male sutdents,there are 61 smoking boys with the smoking rate of 28.6%.On the 304 female students,16 of 5% were smokers.The smoking rate of male students is significantlyhigher than that on female students.In the higher vocational students have smoking rates higher than that of secondary vocational students.The medical and related profession has no obvious difference,also no significant difference between grade,father's cultural degree.The smoking rates of students from mother smoking are higher than that of no-smoking mother.There are high smoking rates with high degree ' s mother in the survey.Most of the sudents for the first time smoking age are at in the junior middle school stage.On around smoking situation of peer group the influence of smoking is very significant.Most students have stopped smoking or are to stop smoking.Most of the survey does not recognize was the attitude of students to smoke,they accepted about smoking is harmful to one's knowledge is derived from the Internet and television media.Most of the students don't know the framework convention on tobacco control,vocational students' understanding of the regulations on the public smoking was much higher than that of secondary vocational students.Conclusion1.Most of the first smoking time of vocational school students is in junior middle school.The reason why most students smoke or the source of tobacco is surrounded by friends,and the influence of their peers is great.Therefore,it is of great significance for students to do tobacco control education at this stage.2.Smoking mother increases the possibility of children,women smoking intervention may be beneficial to the two generations.3.Most of the students are not aware of the laws and regulations concerning tobacco control and smoking prohibition in China.The main source of information is not the school but the network,and they also believe that the participation of schools in tobacco control and smoking is not enough.In the future on tobacco control,the schools should be used as the main body of this work,and to increase the publicity of various information about tobacco control,and fully participate in tobacco control smoking,so as to reduce the smoking population of students,thus reducing the smoking population of the whole society and promoting the development of tobacco control.
