Freshman education is the initial stage of higher education in our country,and to a certain extent determines the future direction of higher education.In the freshman stage,it is in the transitional period between secondary education and higher education.It is a critical period for changing learning thinking.It is a decision.The basic stage of higher education quality.However,at present,the state of learning engagement of freshmen in our country is not good,and too many questions exist in the learning process.To solve these problems,it is important to find out the key factors that affect learning engagement.This article starts from the perspective of learning motivation.The article reviews and combines the related concepts and theories about learning motivation and learning engagement of domestic and foreign students,this paper discusses the types of learning motivation,learning engagement of freshman students and the relationship between the two.This article first defines the concepts of freshman,learning motivation,learning engagement etc.,and clarifies the research object and scope of this article.Then,based on Maslow’s demand theory,attribution theory,and self-determination theory,a theoretical framework for freshman students’ learning motivation is built,and the concept of task time theory,learning participation theory,and learning engagement is also used to build learning engagement.Theoretical framework.Finally,using Maslow’s demand theory and motivation reinforcement theory as a bridge,build an influence framework for learning motivation to affect learning engagement,and divide learning motivation into five types: competition evaluation,external rewards,environmental support,love motivation,and challenge motivation.Learning engagement are divided into three dimensions: learning vitality,learning dedication,and learning behavior.Among them,learning behavior includes three dimensions: classroom participation,off-class participation and extracurricular participation.On this basis,a model was constructed to propose hypotheses,and a questionnaire was creatively designed for freshman students’ learning motivation and learning engagement.Using SPSS26.0 and AMOS to analyze the freshman data.First,perform descriptive statistical analysis.Second,do factor analysis on each item,analyze the reliability of the factors,verify the structure,convergence and differentiation of the factors,and finally construct a structural equation to test the hypothesis.The data shows that the basic property of freshmen students have significant differences in some portion of their learning motivation and learning engagement;part of learning motivation factors have significant forward direction relationship with learning engagement.Finally,according to the data results,the suggestions are advanced from three aspects of college environment,freshman students subject and teachers.This article enriches the theories of freshman students’ learning motivation and investment,and the division of learning motivation can provide a corresponding reference for subsequent further research.By studying the degree of influence of different learning motivations on engagement,and putting forward suggestions,which can improve the learning motivation and learning engagement behavior of freshman students to a certain extent,and then promote the improvement of the quality of higher education. |
