Surveys And Studies. A High School Freshman Physics Learning Motivation

Motivation is a mental state caused by physical and social needs and a inherent causation which inspires people to achieve what they desired. Motivation for study is the inherent power which inspires the students to achieve their goals, and the motivation is a reflection from the demands of the social and education. The reforming of new courses, which began in 2007, concentrates on the students'learning ability, cultivating their science qualities, and the economy of Shunyi has developed greatly according to its important location, so it's necessary and useful to master the students'motivation. Because of the importance of motivation, I concentrate on the factors which affect students'motivation for study and try to reflect their motivations for other subjects through researching their state on Physics. Finally, analysis the results and get some suggestions put forward.This thesis has totally four chapters. The first chapter mainly introduces the background,necessity,feasibility of this research, as well as the contents,methods and the signification of this research. The second chapter is on the academic basis, including the achievement motive theories, model of emotion causal attribution and practice theories. Meanwhile, this chapter introduces the characteristics of the students in senior grades, domestic research on the motivation for study and the main factors affecting their study on Physics. The third chapter contains the design for the investigation papers,the objects for investigation,methods for statistics and analysis the data, the results from the research and teaching suggestions related to this research. The forth chapter is to point out the laciness in the research.The mainly used methods in this research are literature search and questionnaires.
