Teaching anxiety is a common psychological state of teachers.Excessive teaching anxiety not only affects teachers’ physical and mental health and teaching work,but also indirectly affects students’ learning development and physical and mental growth.Therefore,teachers’ teaching anxiety is a problem worthy of study.Through the method of cluster sampling,this study randomly selected eight schools in Shantou City,Guangdong Province,which are basically the same in school level,school size,teaching quality,etc.,and then conducted a questionnaire survey on the teaching anxiety of 345 junior middle school teachers in these eight schools,and made statistics and Analysis on the questionnaire data through the data analysis software SPSS 26.0.Then according to the content of the interview syllabus,several participants were interviewed to collect more detailed information.Finally,according to the survey results,the following conclusions are reached.First,the overall teaching anxiety of junior middle school teachers is generally on the high side,of which 44.6% are in general anxiety and 28.7% are in serious anxiety;second,there are significant differences in the overall teaching anxiety level of junior middle school teachers in five factors: gender,age,teaching years,professional title and teaching grade(P < 0.01),but there are significant differences in educational background,teaching discipline and whether to be a teacher or not There was no significant difference in the four factors of the head teacher and the total class hours per week(P > 0.05);third,from the average of the eight dimensions,the most anxiety for junior middle school teachers was teaching effect anxiety,with an average of 3.55,followed by pre class anxiety,school evaluation anxiety,classroom management anxiety,students’ questioning anxiety,classroom performance anxiety,lesson preparation anxiety and students’ evaluation anxiety Fourth,teachers’ teaching anxiety mainly comes from the comprehensive effect of subjective and objective factors.Teachers’ personality,knowledge,ability and experience are the internal factors that affect junior middle school teachers’ teaching anxiety;students’ factors such as learning ability,learning effect,students’ state and teacher-student relationship,and teaching environment factors such as teaching equipment,teaching resources,teaching management,teaching evaluation and teaching atmosphere are the objective factors that affect junior middle school teachers’ teaching anxiety.In view of the situation and causes of junior middle school teachers’ teaching anxiety obtained from the above survey,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to alleviate their teaching anxiety from three aspects of teachers themselves,organizational units and society.Teachers’ own level: face up to their own anxiety,actively solve their inner anxiety,improve their professional quality,cooperate with teachers,adjust students’ learning state and maintain a good relationship between teachers and students.Organization unit level: pay attention to teachers’ psychological counseling,strengthen teachers’ professional training,enrich teachers’ spare time and give effective support to teachers.Social level: give female teachers more understanding and create an atmosphere of respecting teachers. |
