The individual rate of return of higher education is not only an important theoretical problem in the field of educational economics,but also a practical problem that the general public pays attention to.When the number of years of education is certain,the quality of university is an important factor in determining the return on personal education.In the past,most of the research on the individual rate of return of higher education in our country focused on the return brought about by the quantity of education,and the attention paid to the quality of education was far from enough,and the relationship between the quality of education and the individual rate of return of higher education was rarely discussed.The goal of this study is to reveal the influence and mechanism of university quality on the individual rate of return of higher education through the analysis of the estimation and interview data of the individual rate of return of higher education generated by the quality of the university.First of all,the study used the "China Household Income Project"(CHIP)data,using the least-squares method to return to the Mincer income equation,the quality of higher education generated by the estimate of individual returns,and then through the analysis of several large enterprises human resources managers telephone interview data,explore the impact of university quality on the individual rate of return of higher education mechanism.The results show that the personal rate of return on higher education in high-quality universities is significantly higher than that of lower-quality universities,such as the "985Project" university,which has a personal return of 19.50%,compared with 7.55% in ordinary public universities.The quality of the university has a significant positive effect on the individual rate of return of higher education,the higher the quality of the university,the higher the individual rate of return of higher education.And there are significant gender differences,Women are significantly higher than men.The quality of university affects the speed of individual career change and promotion,resulting in different wage effects,which in turn affects the individual rate of return of higher education.Finally,based on the above conclusions,the author puts forward some suggestions from the government,universities,labor market and family and individual. |
