An Analysis Of Factors Affecting The Willingness To Settle In Guangzhou’s Agricultural Transfer Population

The scale of rural migrant population in guangzhou ranks among the top in China,which plays an indispensable role in urban development and social integration.The problem in the process of citizenization of the migrant agricultural population is to promote a new type of people-centered urbanization.The author studies the factors that influence the willingness of the migrant agricultural population to settle down in guangzhou,aiming at promoting and guiding the migrant agricultural population to settle down in the city and accelerating the citizenization of the migrant agricultural population.Based on the theory of population migration and the theory of public goods,this paper firstly puts forward the analytical framework and hypothesis of the relationship between public services,economic conditions,employment characteristics and the intention to settle down of the migrant agricultural population.Secondly,based on the sample of agricultural migrant population in guangzhou from the national floating population database in 2017,the demographic characteristics of the sample,the distribution characteristics of the sample and the current situation of the intention to settle down are basically described by descriptive statistical method.Finally,a binary Logistic regression analysis model was established to analyze the factors influencing the settlement intention of the migrant agricultural population,and the data results were analyzedThrough the research,the main findings are as follows: first,the vast majority of agricultural migrants tend to be more willing to settle down,and have a higher degree of social integration and recognition of the inflow.Secondly,public service plays a "pull" role in the settlement intention of agricultural transfer population.Building a perfect public service system of agricultural transfer population can promote the settlement intention of agricultural transfer population and promote the citizenization of agricultural transfer population.Therefore,it is necessary to improve the basic public services with employment security,children’s education and housing security as the main contents.Third,the accumulation of economic capital creates the basic conditions for the agricultural transfer population to settle in the city.Economic factors become an important factor for the agricultural transfer population to settle in the city.The government should start from reducing the living cost of the agricultural transfer population and encouraging the occupation transformation of the agricultural transfer population to improve the accumulation of economic capital of the agricultural transfer population.Fourth,the employment characteristics as a significant factor of the willingness of agricultural transfer population to settle down,but more agricultural transfer population due to the low level of education,there are employment barriers in the job market,so we should improve the employment public service security system,enhance the employment ability of agricultural transfer population.In a word,in the process of promoting the development of urbanization with people as the core,the government should take improving the settlement willingness of the agricultural transfer population as the foothold,and introduce policies to effectively protect the economy,employment,children’s education,medical care and other aspects of the agricultural transfer population,so as to enhance the public service ability of the agricultural transfer population,and enhance the policy efficiency and governance efficiency of the agricultural transfer population.
