| Objective:the purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between physical exercise, impulsivity and aggressive behavior, whether impulsivity plays a mediating role between physical exercise and aggressive behavior, and whether long-term physical exercise intervention can help teenagers reduce impulsivity and aggressive behavior. So as to provide theoretical support for promoting the healthy growth of teenagers and preventing violent crimes of teenagers. Methods:In the first study,414 adolescents(12-18 years old)were selected as subjects. The amount of physical exercise was divided into small amount of exercise, medium amount of exercise and large amount of exercise. The relationship between physical exercise, impulsivity and aggressive behavior was explored, and the mediating role of impulsivity between physical exercise and aggressive behavior was detected.Analysis of variance, correlation analysis and linear regression analysis were used to analyze the data.In Study 2,82 adolescents(12-18 years old)were taken as subjects to conduct a longitudinal study to explore the effect of long-term physical exercise intervention on impulsivity and aggressive behavior.A mixed experimental design of 2 test time(pre-test and post test)× 2 groups(exercise intervention group and control group)was adopted. The inter group variable is the group, which is divided into two levels: the control group and the exercise intervention group;the intra group variable is the test time, which is divided into two levels: the pre-test and the post test;the dependent variable is the score of impulsivity and aggressive behavior.Using repeated measurement ANOVA method, the aggression scale compiled by Buss and Perry was used to measure aggressive behavior, the s-upps-p impulse scale compiled by Xue Chaoxia and others was used to measure impulsivity, and the PARS-3(physical activity rating scale)of Liang Deqing(1994)was used to measure physical activity. Results:Study 1:(1)in horizontal comparison, there was a significant negative correlation between the amount of physical exercise and aggressive behavior(P <0.01),a significant positive correlation between impulsivity(P < 0.01)and aggressive behavior, and a significant negative correlation between the amount of physical exercise and impulsivity(P < 0.01).(2)Impulsivity plays a complete mediating role between physical exercise and aggressive behavior.Three of the five impulsive factors play a complete mediating role between physical exercise and aggressive behavior, which are lack of premeditation, positive urgency and negative urgency.Study 2: in aggression, the main effect of time was not significant,f(1,80)= 2.41,P >0.05,the main effect of group was not significant,f(1,80)= 2.13,P > 0.05,the interaction effect of group and test time was significant,f(1,80)= 8.07,P < 0.05.In impulsivity, the main effect of time was significant,f(1,80)= 19.65,P < 0.05,the edge of main effect of group was significant,f(1,80)= 3.29,0.1 > P > 0.05,the interaction effect of group and test time was significant,f(1,80)= 21.87,P < 0.05.In the lack of perseverance, the main effect of time was significant,f(1,80)= 5.52,P <0.05,the main effect of group was significant,f(1,80)= 5.07,P < 0.05,the interaction effect of group and test time was significant,f(1,80)= 8.18,P < 0.05.In positive urgency, the main effect of time was significant,f(1,80)= 15.68,P < 0.05,the main effect of group was not significant,f(1,80)= 1.62,P > 0.05,the interaction effect of group and test time was significant,f(1,80)= 6.39,P < 0.05.In the negative urgency, the edge of the main effect of time was significant,f(1,80)= 2.80,0.1 > P > 0.05,the main effect of group was significant,f(1,80)= 5.55,P < 0.05,the interaction effect of group and test time was significant,f(1,80)= 7.27,P < 0.05.Conclusion:(1)Impulsivity plays a complete mediating role between physical exercise and aggressive behavior.(2)Physical exercise can reduce teenagers’ impulsivity, and can indirectly reduce teenagers’ aggressive behavior by reducing impulsivity.(3)Long term physical exercise can reduce the impulsivity of teenagers and improve their aggressive behavior.(4)High intensity of long-term physical exercise is more conducive to reduce the impulsivity and aggressive behavior of teenagers. |
