The Influence Of Parental Autonomy Support And Internet Game Disorder In Junior Middle School Students

Internet game disorder is often inseparable from the influence of individual and environmental factors,among which the influence of individual’s Future time perspective is increasingly concerned.At the same time,in the environment of individual growth,Parental autonomy support and Parent-child relationship also play an important role.In order to better clarify the influence of Internet game disorder internal mechanism.Based on Self-determination theory and Ecosystem theory,626 junior high school students in Huicheng District,Huizhou City,Guangdong Province were investigated by questionnaire on Parental autonomy support,Internet game disorder,Future time perspective and Parent-child relationship.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)Parental autonomy support,Future time perspective,Internet game disorder and Parent-child relationship were significantly correlated;Parental autonomy support significantly negatively predicted Internet game disorder.(2)Parental autonomy support significantly positively predicted Future time perspective;Future time perspective has a significant negative predicted Internet game disorder;Future time perspective played a mediation role in the effect of Parental autonomy support on Internet game disorder.(3)Parent-child relationship negatively predicted Internet game disorder;Parent-child relationship moderates the second half path of the mediation model of Internet game disorder through Future time perspective,namely Future time perspective→Internet game disorder path.That is,the higher the level of Parent-child relationship,the stronger the negative predictive effect of Future time perspective on Internet game disorder.This study further expands the influence path of Autonomy support on individual Internet game disorder,enriches the applicable context of Self-determination theory,and has certain practical guiding value on how to intervene or affect adolescent Internet game disorder.Therefore,in the process of Parental autonomy support affecting Internet game disorder,there is both a mediating effect of Future time perspective and a moderating effect of Parent-child relationship.
