The special situation of the poor students in higher vocational colleges requires that higher education should pay more attention to their survival and development.The significance of the educational function of the financial aid for the poor students in higher vocational colleges determines that the financial aid should emphasize its practical development function.However,the single tendency of relief of the financial aid for the poor students in higher vocational colleges limits the effect of development of the financial aid.How to make full use of the financial aid to promote the sustainable development of poor students is the focus of this paper.By using literature method,firstly,from the analysis of domestic and foreign literatures,the research status of this thesis is sorted out and the breakthrough point of this research is determined.Second,by defining the core concepts and analyzing the theoretical basis,the research framework consisting of capital input,strategy use and effect feedback is established.Third,the possible role of financial aid in the sustainable development of poor students in higher vocational colleges is clarified from three aspects,theoretical experience,practical experience and the aids’ own advantages,each aims to affirm the rationality of the educational function of the aid.Then,based on the research framework,this paper explores a theoretically possible ways of how financial aid promotes the development of poor students.Keep economic capital as the main body,take capital transformation as the strategy and make capital expansion as the goal.By using questionnaire method,this paper tries to explore the practical effects of financial aid on the development of poor students,thus,combining theory with practice,and put forward some measures to help the poor students realize sustainable development.Under the guidance of theory,the questionnaire is compiled to investigate the influence of financial aid on the sustainable development of poor students in higher vocational colleges.The independent variables are composed of funding input,funding strategy and funding effect feedback,while the dependent variables are the five capitals which representing the level of sustainable development.Combine the situation of receiving aid with the influence of funding recipients,the results show that the implementation of the aid helps to enhance the level of the sustainable development of higher vocational students,but the developmental effects of the existing various types of funding need to be improved,the readjustment of amount of aid is needed,the effects of the guidance of aid has not been fully used,the propaganda and implementation of diversed projects need to be deepen,attention to individual demand of the aid needs to be strengthened.Therefore,in terms of funding input,optimize the effect of educating people of the aid,including standardizing the educational function of all kinds of financial aid and giving full play to the educational effect of aid amount.At the level of funding strategy,enrich the educational forms of the aid,including conducting a demand survey to ensure accurate funding,allocating specialized personnel to increase funding guidance,and setting up development projects to ensure participation of poor students.At the level of aid feedback,strengthen the nature of education of the aid implementation,including ensuring the basic guarantee function of the aid,paying attention to the developmental changes of poor students,and standardizing the development requirements of poor students.
