| Middle school is an important period in life,with the gradual enhancement of self-consciousness,their immature thoughts,such as false audience and self-myth,also begin to emerge.Excessive attention to others’ thoughts and expectations of others’ reactions in real and imagined situations often bring huge pressure to individuals,which lead to the gradual increase of existential anxiety.Excessive existential anxiety may lead to the risk of anxiety neurosis.Therefore,this study explored the influence of trait of hope on existential anxiety from the perspective of individual characteristics.Firstly,the existential anxiety scale of middle school students is adopted to explore the current situation and characteristics of the existential anxiety of middle school students.Then combined with the hope trait scale of middle school students,the family environment scale and the core self-evaluation scale,this paper investigated the status quo of middle school students’ hope trait,family intimacy and core self-evaluation,and explored the relationship between middle school students’ hope trait,family intimacy and core self-evaluation and those with anxiety.The conclusions of this study are as follows:Firstly,the existential anxiety of middle school students has significant differences in grade and family income;Secondly,middle school students hope that the trait can significantly predict the existence of anxiety level.Thirdly,the desirable traits of middle school students can significantly affect family closeness.Fourthly,the hope traits of middle school students can significantly affect the core self-evaluation.Fifthly,family closeness of middle school students can significantly predict the existence of anxiety level.Sixthly,the core self-evaluation of middle school students can significantly predict the level of existential anxiety.Seventhly,core self-evaluation plays a completely mediating role in the influence of the trait of hope on the existential anxiety of middle school students;Eighthly,family closeness plays a part in mediating the influence of trait of hope on the existential anxiety of middle school students. |
