| Protecting the environment is the most pressing issue in today’s society.To protect the environment should start from children.Children’s cognitive development and the formation of behavioral habits are in the critical period of development.Good family environmental protection education provides a guarantee for children’s good environmental protection literacy.Therefore,this study selected six kindergartens in Baoding City,Hebei Province as examples,with parents of children aged between three and six as the research objects.Based on the investigation of the status quo of family environmental protection education,this paper attempts to summarize the related problems in the process of family environmental protection education,and analyzes its causes,and puts forward relevant countermeasures.Questionnaire survey and interview were used in the research process.This paper investigates the present situation of family environmental protection education from the aspects of children’s parents’ environmental awareness,family environmental protection education implementation behavior,family environmental protection education social environment,children’s parents’ educational expectation,influencing factors,existing difficulties and so on.The survey results show that the overall situation of family environmental education is not ideal.1,Parents lack of in-depth and systematic thinking on children’s family environmental protection education.2,The ability of family environmental education of parents needs to be improved.3,The goal of family environmental education needs to be clear.4,The content of family environmental protection education needs to be deepened.5,The single method of family environmental education is not flexible.6,The quality of home co-breeding needs to be improved.7,Public awareness of environmental protection needs to be strengthened.8,The city’s environmental protection infrastructure and management need to be improved.The main factors affecting children’s family environmental protection education are analyzed and summarized: parents,kindergarten,social environment and regional development.Suggestions are put forward to improve the present situation of children’s family environmental protection education.1,Comprehensively improve the ability of parents’ family environmental protection education,including changing the concept of environmental protection,creating an environmental education atmosphere and using a variety of ways to improve parents’ specific guidance ability.These various ways also include that parents themselves should establish a scientific outlook on children and education,enrich children’s environmental vision,parent-child reading,drawing environmental diary,outdoor experience and game mode to cultivate children’s environmental awareness.2,More communication and cooperation should be conducted between families and kindergartens to work together for the development of children’s environmental protection education.3,With the help of social environmental organizations to promote the development of children’s family environmental education.4,Actively publicize environmental education with the help of all media.5,Develop and utilize urban environmental protection education resources. |
