| Family education is of vital importance to the development of children,and parents of children play a decisive role in family education.This study used literature,interviews and questionnaires to investigate 811 parents of 3-6 years old children in N city,and interviewed 10 parents of children.In order to know more about the family education literacy of parents who have aged 3-6 children,this paper analyses the four dimensions of their parents’ family educational concept,knowledge literacy,educational ability and reflective consciousness.The study found that the overall family education literacy of parents who have aged 3-6 children was on the upper middle level.In the four dimensions,the score of parents’ educational concept was the highest,followed by parents’ reflective awareness and educational ability,and the scores of parents’ knowledge literacy were the lowest.At the same time,there is no significant difference between father and mother’s family education literacy;there is no significant difference between parents’ family education literacy of children of different age classes;the family education literacy of urban children’s parents is better than that of suburban children’s parents;the older children’s parents’ family education literacy is higher;there are significant differences in the family education literacy of parents with different educational background,and there are significant differences in the family education literacy of parents with different family annual income.In addition,the main problems existing in the family education literacy of 3-6-year-old children’s parents are:(1)the level of knowledge literacy of children parents is not high;(2)the ability of children’parents to choose and use educational methods is not high.;(3)the family educational literacy of suburban children parents is far lower than that of urban children parents.Based on the above research,the following suggestions are put forward:(1)promoting the parents of young children to set up scientific education concepts;(2)helping parents of young children to improve their level of knowledge literacy;(3)improving parents’ educational ability in various ways;(4)promoting parents of young children to enhance their self-reflection consciousness;(5)enhancing parents’ family education literacy in the suburbs. |
