| As the saying goes,“Green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains.” The Report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China reports that Chinese modernization is a modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature,and clarifies the strategic tasks of China’s ecological civilization construction.The general tone is to promote green development and promote the harmonious coexistence between man and nature.As builders and successors of the development of ecological civilization,pre-school children’s understanding of a good environment from an early age not only promotes the healthy and all-round development of children’s physical and mental health,but also lays a good foundation for the development of the whole country’s ecological civilization.Studies have shown that children’s environmental cognition is mostly carried out from the perspective of indoor space environment and the physical environment in the park,and few studies have explored the impact of parents’ environmental concepts on children’s environmental cognition.As the main environment of children’s life,parents,as the first teachers of children,will have a subtle impact on the cognitive development of children’s environment.Therefore,this study takes preschool children and parents aged3-6 as the research object to explore the impact of parents’ concept of environment on children’s environmental cognition,so as to enrich the theory of environmental education for preschool children,which is of great guiding significance for parents’ environmental education practice.The main method of this study is the questionnaire method.The questionnaire consists of three parts.The first part investigates the basic information of children and parents;the second part investigates parents’ environmental perceptions in family life;and the third part investigates the level of children’s environmental awareness in different situations.Children in large,medium and small classes and parents in urban areas and nearby villages in Luoyang City were selected as the research object to explore the impact of parents’ concept of environment on children’s environmental cognition.The results showed that:(1)There are significant differences in the concept of parents’ gender,urban and rural areas and family monthly economic income.Mothers’ environmental awareness and attitudes are more active than their fathers;parents’ environmental awareness and environmental behavior in rural areas are better than in urban areas;the lower the family’s economic income,the better the parents’ environmental awareness;(2)There are significant differences in children’s environmental cognition in children’s gender,age,urban and rural areas,and whether to live alone.Girls are more likely to have positive environmental cognition than boys;older children have better environmental cognition than young children;children in rural areas have a better environmental awareness than in urban areas;(3)There is a significant positive correlation between the concept of parents’ s environment and the overall and dimensions of children’s environmental cognition.In the concept of parents’ environment,environmental awareness,attitudes and environmental behaviors can significantly predict children’s environmental cognition in a positive direction.From this,it is concluded that the concept of parents’ environment will have an important impact on children’s environmental cognition.In view of the above research results,this study puts forward corresponding educational suggestions from the aspects of parents,kindergartens and home co-education.Parents should improve their own environmental guidance ability and create a good educational atmosphere;kindergartens should make rational use of educational resources to promote children’s environmental awareness;and build a home co-education platform to promote the implementation of environmental education. |
