| Private colleges and universities are an indispensable part of higher education in China.It makes up for the shortage of places in public colleges and universities and enables students who are blocked out of public colleges and universities to realize their college dreams.In recent years,private colleges and universities continue to develop,the enrollment scale continues to expand,the rapid expansion of private colleges and universities to bring great pressure,the subsequent improvement of education quality has become the focus of the reform and development of private colleges and universities.In the tide of the reform of higher engineering education promoted by the state,private colleges and universities are not willing to lag behind and join the team of new engineering construction and engineering education certification in time.Therefore,the concept of results-oriented and OBE teaching has become a familiar term for education workers in private universities.G University is a private university,which has been ranked the top in the ranking of private universities in China in the past five years.The innovative class is a characteristic class established by G University to improve the quality of running schools and cultivate innovative talents.With the construction of new engineering projects in full swing across the country,G University also carried out the engineering education certification work.As an educational paradigm based on students’ learning output,the logical starting point of OBE education concept is "student-oriented",which enables educators and managers of innovative classes to have clear educational objectives and have a clear conception of students’ abilities and levels in advance.The introduction of this idea into the management of innovative classes in private colleges and universities plays a promoting role in promoting the certification of engineering education.Therefore,it is of great scientific and practical significance to carry out the research on the management mode of innovative classes in private universities based on the concept of OBE.In this paper,the literature analysis method is adopted to review the theories related to this study,and the concepts of private colleges and class management are defined.A case study of G school was carried out by using interview and questionnaire.The research first introduces the development course of the innovative class in G school and shares its existing management experience.Then the relevant managers and teachers of the innovation class were interviewed,and the students of the innovation class were surveyed by questionnaire to analyze and summarize the problems existing in the management of the innovation class.Finally,according to the problems found in the research,the author puts forward some strategies,such as creating atmosphere,full investigation,interdisciplinary,school-enterprise cooperation,and multiple assessment,to optimize the management of innovative classes in private colleges and universities based on the OBE concept. |
