The Relative Deprivation Of Adolescents’ Parental Care:Scale Developing,Current Situation And Intervention Of Group Assistants

Adolescents are in a critical period of personality shaping and are prone to have a strong sense of relative deprivation.If they are not given timely venting and guidance,they are likely to have a negative impact on individuals,families and society.At present,few studies have focused on the relative deprivation of adolescents’ parental care.This paper aims to conduct a preliminary discussion on it through three studies.Study one,after a series of strict theoretical dimension construction,in-depth interviews(74 subjects),project preparation,trial test(30 subjects),initial test(600 subjects)and retest(863 subjects)According to the procedure,the "Adolescent Parental Care Relative Deprivation Scale" was compiled,and it was found that the compiled scale has good reliability and validity(α=0.91),and it can be used as a measuring tool for the relative deprivation of adolescent parental care.The second study used the "Adolescent Parental Care Relative Deprivation Scale" to investigate the current situation of 1,213 adolescents in Fujian and Guangdong provinces.The results found that:(1)The overall situation of the relative deprivation of adolescent parental care is at a moderate level;(2)The overall level of relative deprivation of parental care of girls is significantly higher than that of boys;(3)The overall level of relative deprivation of parental care for non-only children is significantly higher than that of only-children;(4)The dimensions and total scores of relative deprivation of parental care for adolescents There is no significant difference between urban adolescents and rural adolescents;(5)The dimensions and total scores of the relative deprivation of adolescent parental care are not significantly different between junior high school students and senior high school students.Among them,junior high school: the relative parental care of junior high school students The sense of deprivation is the strongest,followed by the first grade students,and the weakest for the second grade students.At the high school stage: the relative deprivation of parental care of students has no significant grade difference in all dimensions and total scores;(6)the total relative deprivation of adolescent parental care There is no significant age difference in the three dimensions;(7)The overall level of relative deprivation of parental care for introverted adolescents is significantly higher than that of extroverted adolescents.Study three,based on the results of the survey on the relative deprivation of adolescents’ parental care,combined with related concepts such as increasing the adolescent’s perception of parental care,explored group-assisted intervention programs that effectively reduce the relative deprivation of adolescents’ parental care.The results found: theory group,theory plus The effect of group assistance in the practice group was significantly better than that of the practice group and the control group.In summary,this paper provides an effective measurement tool for understanding the relative deprivation of adolescents’ parental care,preliminarily investigates the current characteristics of the relative deprivation of adolescents’ parental care,and attempts to verify the team-assisted intervention program that effectively reduces the relative deprivation of adolescents’ parental care.
