Rural teacher is the core factor for the improvement on the quality of rural compulsory education.Massive Rural teachers flow to the city under the motivation of benefits,whether for the stability of the teachers or for the balanced development of compulsory education,it will have a significant disruptive impact. Although we have a lot of study about relative deprivation and the flow to town of rural teachers, the exploring is a little bit far away from the relationship between rural teachers’ group relative deprivation and their intention of flow to town.Based on the two groups of urban and rural teachers could be compared on occupation, city teachers is determined as the reference group of rural teachers,according to the review of existing literature, making the material interests,occupation development opportunities and social prestige as the comparative contents.On the basis of field investigations under the topic of teachers’ relative deprivation and their flow intention to the city which include four school teachers in D town’s. By the empirical research methods, using SPSS17.0 statistical software to analyze and descrip the data of the teachers’. Then we will discuss the flowing question: What is the present situation of D county’s teacher’s relative deprivation and their intention of flowing to town? What is the relationship between rural teachers’ relative deprivation and their intention of flow to town?The study found that the group relative deprivation have significant positive impact on rural teachers’ intention to turnover to the city. Put forward the countermeasures to lower the group relative deprivation of rural teachers and retain them in rural school on the basis of research results.
