Online social interaction is an important part of adolescent life.It is of great practical significance to investigate the influencing factors and mechanism of adolescent Internet social interaction addiction for healthy Internet use and reducing the risk of adolescent Internet social interaction addiction.There are two studies,the first one was to investigate the relationship between proactive personality and Internet Social Addiction by questionnaire survey in a sample of 569 adolescents in middle school of Kunming city,China.The second study has recruited 24 participants with social networking addiction to complete the psychological group activities which are based on the self-efficient feelings.Lastly,we provided the directional suggestions and directions.The current study draw the following conclusions:(1)The proactive personality of middle school students is at a high level,the self-efficacy is at a medium-low level,and the online social addiction is moderately low.(2)There is no significant gender difference in proactive personality and self-efficacy,and there is significant gender difference in online social addiction.Further analysis shows that boys’ online social addiction scores are significantly larger than girls.(3)Proactive personality cannot directly predict social addiction,but it can negatively predict online social addiction through the intermediary effect of self-efficacy.(4)The intervention of middle school students’ online socialization can be carried out in terms of improving self-efficacy and cultivating proactive personality.The study reveals the mechanism of self-efficacy between proactive personality and online social addiction,also supported psychological group counsing activies based on self-efficient in reducing the social networking addiction.These findings help to enrich the relevant theories of online psychology and proactive personality,and also provide important guidance for middle school students to use the network to promote physical and mental development.
