Carrying out mental health education courses is an important way to carry out students’ mental health education,and it is also an important way to popularize mental health knowledge and improve the psychological literacy of higher vocational students.In recent years,more and more higher vocational colleges have opened mental health education courses for freshmen,but the courses are mainly taught by teachers,which fail to fully integrate the goals of higher vocational talent training and the psychological characteristics of students,and lack pertinence.Experiential teaching pays attention to the student’s dominant position,and uses a wealth of activities as the teaching carrier to enable students to gain feelings through experience and then comprehend knowledge.Compared with teacher-oriented teaching,experiential teaching is more in line with the requirements of new students in higher vocational schools.Physical and mental characteristics.Positive quality is one of the research contents of positive psychology.It can not only stimulate the individual’s potential and enhance the individual’s subjective well-being,but also benefit the individual’s physical and mental health.Therefore,it is essential to cultivate students’ positive psychological quality.The purpose of this research is to investigate the positive psychological quality of freshmen in higher vocational schools,and to explore the role of experiential mental health education courses in cultivating the positive psychological quality of freshmen in higher vocational schools.This article uses the "College Students’ Positive Psychological Quality Self-evaluation Scale" to investigate the positive psychological quality of 604 freshmen in multiple higher vocational colleges in Wuhan to understand the positive psychological quality of the freshmen in higher vocational schools;and then based on the experiential teaching theory,Combining existing materials to design an experiential mental health education class,and carry out classroom teaching in the experimental class by myself,while the control class does not carry out any intervention.After the intervention,the positive psychological quality of the students in the experimental class and the control class were analyzed,and the role of the experiential mental health education course in cultivating the positive psychological quality of vocational freshmen was explored.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:The psychological quality of contemporary vocational freshmen is generally good and there is still room for improvement.The top ten positive psychological qualities of vocational freshmen that "fit me" in order are kindness,credit,gratitude,honesty,integrity,loyalty,frankness,righteousness,Honest,civic virtue;among the positive psychological qualities that "doesn’t suit me",the top ten are pride,carnival,self-control,effective management of oneself,leadership,interpersonal attractiveness,fulfillment,talent,fluency,and positiveness.Habit formation.There are no significant differences in the positive psychological quality of freshmen in higher vocational colleges in terms of gender and place of origin.There are significant differences in the arts and sciences and whether they are an only child.The level of positive psychological quality of liberal arts students is better than that of science students,and the level of positive psychological quality of only-child students is better than that of science students.Not the only child.The test before and after the experimental class has significant differences,the scores of the test after the experimental class are higher than the pre-test of the experimental class,while the difference between the test before and after the control class is not significant;the test after the experimental class and the control class have significant differences,and the test scores after the experimental class are higher than the control class Post-test;the difference between post-test and follow-up test in experimental class is not significant.The experiential mental health class has a significant effect on cultivating the positive psychological quality of vocational freshmen,and the intervention effect can be maintained for at least 40 days. |
