Social Work Helps To Cultivate The Self-governance Ability Of Community Residents In Resource-exhausted Cities

Under the background of the innovation of social governance system,the government put forward the idea of community residents’ autonomy in order to improve the development level of grass-roots democracy.Community residents autonomy is an important means of community construction,the success of autonomy to a certain extent also affects the process of community development.But the realization of community residents’ autonomy is not achieved overnight,but needs the subjects at all levels to try and explore constantly.From the perspective of social workers,social work is more like a catalyst,promoting the improvement of residents’ autonomous ability and promoting the development of residents’ autonomous area.Therefore,how to get involved in the construction of community residents’ self-government and how to solve the problem of residents’ self-government is a very urgent problem in front of social workers.Social work has mature experience and scientific theoretical model in community governance.This paper relies on the problems existing in the self-governance ability of residents in A community assisted by social work,and uses the methods of group work and community work to meet the needs of improving residents’ self-governance ability and promote the healthy development of the community.Firstly,through the field survey of the community,the questionnaire method,interview method and participatory observation method are used to understand the situation of the community,to analyze the problems and needs existing in the ability of self-governance of the community residents,and to evaluate the feasibility of social work to help improve the ability of self-governance of the community residents.Secondly,using group work as an intervention method and social goal model,we set up growth groups to cultivate residents’ ability to participate and stimulate their willingness to participate in community affairs.Based on community work,social planning mode is employed to explore community leaders,establish residents’ council,set up volunteer service teams,and scientifically and rationally allocate the daily affairs of the community,so that every resident can be a participant in the community.In addition,we should seek the support of the government,experts and social organizations,improve the community support network,create A situation of multi-subject governance,and constantly promote the improvement of the autonomy of residents in A community.Finally,it reflects on the deficiencies in the improvement of community residents’ self-governance ability assisted by social work,and puts forward targeted countermeasures.
