The emergence of social media under the rapid development of Internet technology not only provides the public with an alternative space for expressing ideas,but also provides a new channel for the public to obtain massive information resources.As an important field of new media,social media has realized the interconnected connection between people,people and information,and people and technology.Social media,due to its low cost of interpersonal communication and convenient communication,has caused most universities to generate a wide range of people who use social media.Social media has gradually become a communication platform that college students rely on.Information acquisition,interpersonal communication,work communication and even daily life are provided to college students.And other aspects have an important impact.And this change of information and interpersonal interaction mode will inevitably have a certain impact on the process of political socialization of college students.Therefore,in the era of social media,the level and development of political socialization of college students have received more and more attention.Based on the research of related literatures,this paper carefully sorts out the related researches at home and abroad.Based on the definition of core concepts,the main content of social media’s impact on college students’ political socialization and countermeasures are comprehensively investigated by interviews and questionnaires to investigate and study the college student population in colleges and universities to clarify the current social media The status quo of the influence of college students’ political socialization.Through the investigation,it is found that social media provides convenience for college students to obtain political information due to its rich information and ease of use,enhances the effectiveness and pertinence of college students ’political learning,and enriches college students’ political participation methods.But there are also many problems.For example,most college students use social media mainly to understand social events such as news events,entertainment gossip,and interpersonal communication.They are less used to participate in public affairs,and more are reprints of news events.From the perspective of college students’ participation in political affairs is generally not high,and there are negative trends such as fragmentation of political cognition,fluctuation of political sentiment,and partial utilitarianization of political participation.By further collating the results of the interviews and surveys,the main reasons for the negative impact of social media on the political socialization of college students are mainly the external factors of the government and social environment,the education system of universities,the value guidance of peer groups,and the factors of college students themselves.several aspects.Therefore,based on the synthesis of previous studies and the conclusions obtained in this paper,suggestions are made from the government,social perspective,school education,peer group atmosphere,and individual college student perspectives to promote the political socialization of college students under the full play of social media functions: This includes improving government supervision of social media,strengthening social responsibility,optimizing social media’s political opinion environment,giving full play to the school’s educational guidance role,creating a good peer group atmosphere,and strengthening college students’ self-political education.
