Reading teaching is the core part of Chinese teaching in the middle grade of primary school.The Chinese Curriculum Standard for Primary Schools(2019 edition)proposes that students should be able to read independently and learn to use a variety of reading methods.Some scholars and front-line teachers have made a lot of attempts on reading teaching.However,judging from a series of international reading assessments such as PIRLS reading literacy assessment,the test results of primary school students in China are still not ideal,and there is a certain distance from achieving the target of curriculum standard.By teaching primary school students the knowledge of reading strategies,the students can master different types of reading strategies so that they can solve the problems they encounter in reading independently.Therefore,this study believes that reading strategies should be systematically trained and taught,and the introduction of this concept into reading teaching can provide some ideas and reference value for reading teaching.This study takes primary school Chinese teachers in a district of Nanjing city as the research object to investigate the "current situation of Primary school Chinese reading strategy teaching".On the basis of the questionnaire,5 Chinese teachers of different teaching ages were interviewed in depth,and data were collected through random reading classroom observation to analyze and understand the current situation of reading strategy teaching.The survey found that Chinese teachers in primary schools in Jianye District,Nanjing still did not have a thorough understanding of the concept of reading strategy teaching,and their selection of reading strategy teaching content was focused on the strategies mentioned in the textbooks,and most teachers did not know how to carry out reading strategy teaching specifically.This paper analyzes the causes and consequences of the lack of attention paid to reading strategy teaching from the perspectives of textbooks,teachers and students,and then puts forward specific countermeasures for improvement:To change the concept of reading teaching and increase the understanding of reading strategy teaching;According to the text of different styles,teaching different reading strategies;Grasp the target of unit training and determine the teaching content of reading strategies;Positive demonstration and independent learning are combined to develop students’ autonomy in using reading strategies.Finally,based on the survey of teachers reflect how to teach reading strategies of doubt,according to several common reading strategies in reading teaching,such as prediction,asking questions,to determine the important content,general information,reasoning information strategy and monitoring strategies such as strategy,provides some Suggestions for teaching,in which combined with some cases in detail.
