With the improvement of urbanization and modernization,the constant collisions between cities and villages,and between modernity and tradition,have invisibly impacted rural culture,so that rural education has lost the support of rural culture,becoming a passenger left behind on the high-speed train of China’s urbanization process.In the face of "city-oriented" education,the participation of rural activities and traditional culture in rural education reform is gradually declining,and the rural culture rooted in rural schools is also shrinking.The development of rural education is inseparable from rural teachers.In a specific rural field,rural teachers as rare intellectuals in rural society,should be the inheritors and guides of rural culture,and should have the trait suitable for rural environment,rural students and particularity of rural education.As professionals,the trait of rural teachers is "ruralism".In general,the research adopts qualitative research method.The author described the present situation,the reasons hidden behind this and influencing factors of rural teachers’ traits in depth and detail in rural sentiment,rural knowledge and rural skills by going out of the "study",going in to the microscopic and the real "fields" of C primary school and using observation,interviews and other research methods,The research found that the traits of rural teachers mainly exist in the following two aspects: on the one hand,the new generation of rural teachers mostly studied in city,unwilling to root in rural areas,showing strong characteristics of urbanization,lack of "ruralism";On the other hand,although the older generation of rural teachers are mostly native,but in the work of rural education they show the trait of "ruralism" that is not too strong and still has shortcomings.Based on the field research of C primary school,the author found that there are two factors influencing the traits of rural teachers.On the one hand,it is the external influence factor,mainly including the system policy,the campus culture and the rural society.On the other hand,it is teachers’ personal influencing factors,mainly including growth experience,self-cognition and personality characteristics.Based on the above analysis,the author put forward the external and internal suggestions to form the traits of rural teachers.One of them is the reinforcement of external forces,which is mainly to provide exogenous support for rural teachers,in order to provide a guarantee for the formation of rural teachers’ traits.The self-realization of rural teachers is mainly to tap the endogenous power of rural teachers’ traits,so as to cultivate rural teachers’ attachment to rural soil,so that rural teachers can root in rural areas and serve rural areas from the bottom of their hearts.
