At present,the concept of active ageing has gradually become an international consensus,and has become the guiding direction of running elderly universities in China.Under the background of increasingly severe population ageing situation,it is an inevitable choice to advocate active ageing and attach importance to the social role of elderly universities.Therefore,the learning effect of elderly universities needs to be repositioned and recognized.It should not just stay in the satisfaction of the elderly’s body,interests,and hobbies.It should expand to the three pillars of active ageing: “participation,health,and security”.Help elderly students achieve active ageing.Based on this,this study focuses on "whether elderly students participate in the study of an elderly university is conducive to active ageing".Through statistical analysis and interview methods,based on the three pillars of active ageing,reveal the effects of senior citizens’ participation in the study of elderly universities,analyze the influencing factors of active ageing for eldery students,and explore the promotion strategies to promote active ageing for elderly students.Based on the three dimensions of active ageing,the relevant questionnaire and interview outline were designed.Through the questionnaire survey of the students from three elderly universities,and the interviews with the managers and students of the elderly universities,The study found that: First,elderly students achieved active ageing to a certain extent through learning in elderly universities,but the level of realization was different.Among them,the “health” pillar achieved the highest degree,the “participation” pillar achieved the middle degree,and “security” pillars are the least realized.Secondly,the gender differences of students have a significant impact on the realization of health,participation and security,age differences and education levels have a significant impact on the realization of health and participation,and economic conditions have no significant impact on the three pillars.Finally,learning motivation,learning cost,learning time,learning content,learningmode,and learning assessment have different degrees of influence on the occurrence of active ageing.Among them,learning motivation,learning time and learning content have a greater impact on the realization of active ageing.Therefore,based on the relevant research findings,with the goal of active ageing,the research proposes the following strategies to improve the learning effect of elderly universities: Elderly universities should create a platform for the realization of active ageing,establish a school concept of active ageing,build a curriculum system for active ageing,and improve the teaching model to promote active ageing.Elderly students should become individual practitioners of active ageing,and they should establish a positive ageing learning concept,increase active ageing learning participation,participate in different types of courses,and optimize learning time and learning methods.
