Research On The Impact Of Population Movement On Urbanization Level In Chengdu-Chongqing City Group

With the continuous deepening of social and economic development,the scale of China’s population movement continues to expand,and the relationship between population movement and urbanization is becoming closer.In the context of China’s urban-rural dual system and cross-regional local administrative power,the flow of population and the process of urbanization and the relationship between the two are affected by multiple factors and are characterized by stages and complexity.As an important platform for the western development of China,the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration is strategically supported by the Yangtze River Economic Belt,and its population mobility scale and urbanization level are increasing year by year.As well as the internal connection between the two,it is helpful to comprehensively understand the flow of population and provide an effective basis for relevant decision-making so as to better promote the urbanization process of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration.For this reason,in this complex and comprehensive impact system of urbanization,this paper selects population mobility as the entry point to study and analyzes the specific impact of population mobility on the level of urbanization.This article takes Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration as the research object,based on the relevant literature and theory of population mobility and urbanization level,qualitatively reveals the mechanism of population mobility on the urbanization process based on the theoretical dimension,and combines the population mobility and urbanization of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration To sort out the status quo of the current situation,empirical research is conducted on the spatial effects,transmission mechanisms and influencing factors of the population mobility and urbanization level of the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration using the spatial Dubin model,panel data simultaneous equations and panel threshold model.The study found that the population flow of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration has a positive promotion effect on the urbanization process,and its transmission channels mainly include economic growth,industrial structure upgrade,and factor agglomeration.When the net population mobility rate increases by 0.01 units,the urbanization level of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration will increase by about 0.197656% through these three channels,and its influencing factors specifically include driving factors(agricultural and rural social development)and pulling forces(Non-agricultural sector and urban development)and friction factors(government behavior and institutional environment).Finally,based on the development status of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration and empirical test results,this article provides corresponding policy recommendations.Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration should accelerate agricultural development,improve agricultural production efficiency,and release the surplus labor in the agricultural sector;it should promote the optimization and adjustment of industrial structure.Promote economic development and enhance the city’s ability to absorb surplus labor;standardize government functions and guide population movement reasonably.
