With the progress of society,the development of economy and the improvement of medical level,the life expectancy is also increasing;At the same time,however,the proportion of the elderly population in the total population is increasing and the socio-economic pressure is increasing,too.It can be seen that the aging of the population is not only a major achievement of the development of modern society,but also a major problem that is facing.The family pension function gradually weakened,the community pension just started which make the demand of nursing home gradually increasing.The more mature pension institutions become an important role to deal with aging society.Although the social demand for the care of the elderly is increasing,but at present the content of care services is generally relatively single at present,most of them are limited to meet the basic material needs of the elderly.Pension service cannot meet the higher needs of the elderly,such as individuation,social relations and spiritual culture.The overall quality of the home service needs to be improved.The subject of this study is the elderly in nursing homes.Through the research at home and abroad,it can be concluded that the interpersonal relationship of the elderly in the hospital mainly includes the relationship with the outside system,the peer relationship with the elderly in the hospital,and the professional relationship with the staff of the organization.Under the guidance of group dynamics theory,this study uses horticultural social groups to provide targeted social work services to the peer relationships of the elderly in the homes.After surveying and evaluating the current situation of peer support in welfare homes,this study found that peer support among seniors in hospital needs to be improved,embodied in: the low level of communication,the low communication frequency,the single communication content,the lack of the interaction opportunity and the platform,sometimes there are even contradictions and frictions between the elderly peer group and so on.In view of the above specific problems,the author transformed the peer support operation into the following four dimensions by studying the relevant literature and evaluating the actual needs of the elderly: Practical support,Information and emotional support,Social cooperation support and Emotional support.Under the guidance of group dynamics theory,the intervention process will be combined with the interests of the elderly,adding elements of nature to it,using horticultural therapy to carry out practical research and exploration.Through the establishment of the "Chang Qing Teng" gardening social group,targeted to the elderly peer support to strengthen and intervene.A total of 7 group services and 4 post-tracking and consolidation activities were designed.At the end of the group,the process and results of the study were evaluated.The results of the assessment showed that the group service was effective.The research conclusions of this study are as follows: 1.The particularity of the elderly in nursing homes leads to its need to strengthen peer support;2.Horticultural therapy is effective in strengthening peer support of the elderly;3.The effects of horticultural therapy on the elderly in residential care are comprehensive and comprehensive.Finally,this study discusses the advantages and points for attention of the Gardening Social Group and practice method to intervene the peer support of the elderly in the hospital,and reflects on the main deficiency of the research.
