With the rapid development of economy and society,the demand for high-level talents of the country and society is increasing day by day.For the engineers who are the soul of human beings,the pressure that primary and secondary school teachers are facing is increasing,and the problem of job burnout has become the focus of social attention.Compared with other ordinary teacher groups,the diversity and particularity of the role of the head teacher determines that this group’s job burnout is more serious.Teacher job burnout may affect teachers’ individual mental health and the quality of education and teaching,further affect students’ healthy growth and success.Therefore,this paper studies the relationship among occupational stress,job satisfaction and job burnout of junior middle school head teachers,and explores the main factors that affect the job burnout of junior middle school head teachers,so as to provide countermeasures and suggestions for solving the problem.Based on the data of China Education Panel Survey 2013-2014(CEPS),this study takes job burnout as a dependent variable,combines individual environment matching theory,two factor theory and job demand resource model theory,and uses descriptive statistical analysis,correlation analysis,ordered logistic regression and intermediary effect analysis to further explore the relationship between occupational stress,job satisfaction and job burnout,and further verify the intermediary role of job satisfaction in the process of the influence of occupational stress on job burnout,and draw the following conclusions:(1)Junior middle school head teacher’s job burnout level is not high,the occupational stress is big,the job satisfaction is high in general;(2)In all dimensions of occupational stress,only students’ poor performance has a significant positive impact on job burnout,that is,the greater the pressure on students’ poor performance,the higher the level of job burnout.However,the uneven performance,examination pressure,administrative pressure,parents’ requirements,enrollment rate,social evaluation and published papers have no significant effect on job burnout;(3)In all dimensions of job satisfaction,pay,school management and students’ quality have a significant negative impact on job burnout,that is,the higher the satisfaction of pay,school management and students’ quality,the lower the level of job burnout.However,hardware facilities have no significant effect on job burnout;(4)Job satisfaction plays an intermediary role in the influence of occupational stress on job burnout.Based on the conclusions of the study,this paper finds that occupational stress and job satisfaction play an important role in influencing the job burnout of junior middle school head teachers.In order to avoid the negative influence of the head teacher’s job burnout on the individual,students,school and society,we can reduce the level of the junior middle school head teacher’s job burnout by creating learning atmosphere and improving teaching quality,improving economic status,establishing the concept of human-oriented,focusing on the cultivation of students’ good quality and other measures.
