The aging process of China is further accelerated,and the problems brought about by aging need to be solved urgently.The construction of "Digital China" and "smart society" has been continuously promoted since the 19 th CPC National Congress,which giving birth to a large number of digital industries,The epidemic further promotes the deep integration of intelligent technology and daily life,deepening the digital plight of the elderly.In response to this,the author joined the G community "Father and Mother’s Smart Age" project as a volunteer,was responsible for the course lecture,and observed the reality of the digital plight of the elderly in the community,the media learning process,learning effects and existing problems throughout the process.Conduct in-depth interviews and conduct questionnaires.The study introduces Amartya Sen’s interpretation of poverty into the concept of digital poverty,Analyze digital poverty with insufficient digital capabilities,The essence of digital poverty among the elderly is the insufficiency of "skills" and "knowledge",which are embodied in the following aspects: the insufficient ability of network access,digital information acquisition,digital information application and media technology acceptance.The academic circle mainly interprets the connotation of media literacy from the perspective of "media ability" and "media knowledge".Strengthening media literacy education for the elderly can effectively improve the digital poverty of the elderly.The elderly has a high degree of community integration and trust,and the community has the conditions and resources to carry out media literacy education,Therefore,media literacy education for the elderly should rely on the community to carry out.Lanzhou G community media literacy education is mainly carried out in the form of "lecture + counseling and answering questions".The project takes into account digital skills teaching and anti-fraud publicity,it can enhance the personal,interpersonal communication and social participation of the elderly,realize the transformation of the elderly from "external push" to "individual initiative",realize the simultaneous improvement of "personal power" and "self-efficacy",and promote the elderly to build a new "online" and "offline" social circle,At the same time,enhance the social participation ability of the elderly.However,community media literacy education has problems such as lack of curriculum professionalism,ignoring the improvement of basic knowledge,and insufficient construction of digital service teams.Therefore,it is proposed to manage the digital poverty of the elderly by optimizing community media literacy education.The society needs to build a digital access foundation for the elderly,develop age-appropriate smart products and online content,and lay the foundation for media literacy education.The community should assume the responsibility of the main force in media literacy education for the elderly,strengthen the function of community education and service,build a media literacy education system of "skills +knowledge",take into account the concept education of the elderly,and form an educational synergy through multi-party cooperation.It is necessary to build a community service platform that combines volunteer service teams and community elderly service teams to help digital services for the elderly in society,and at the same time promotes community media literacy education models.Finally,it is necessary to strengthen the role of family digital feedback,and let children’s feedback become an extension of community media literacy education.
