The Chain Evolution Of Social Panic Derived From Major Epidemic Emergencies

As a typical type of emergency,a major epidemic causes social panic while damaging public health.For example,while the COVID-19 epidemic killed more than 1 million people worldwide,it sparked a series of social panics,including buying masks and Shuanghuanglian oral liquid,burning 5G base stations and fleeing for control.At present,most domestic and foreign literatures only focus on the major epidemic emergencies themselves,but seldom consider their derivative effects.In particular,there are relatively few specialized and systematic studies on the chain evolution process of social panic derived from major epidemic emergencies.Based on this,this paper tries to answer three questions: Why can major epidemic emergencies generate social panic?What is the chain evolution mechanism? How to respond effectively?Research contents are as follow:(1)Study on the chain evolution mechanism of social panic derived from major epidemic emergencies.Firstly,the triggering factors and their derivative mechanisms of social panic in major epidemics were clarified through literature extraction.Then,a chain evolutionary mechanism model of social panic derived from major epidemics was established based on the "characteristics-stage-dynamics" analysis framework of chain evolution,evolutionary causal chain analysis and evolutionary equation deduction.(2)Empirical study on the chain evolution of social panic derived from COVID-19 epidemic.The COVID-19 epidemic in China and its derivative social panic phenomenon were described in the evolutionary chain node,and the proposed mechanism model was tested and analyzed by empirical analysis and numerical simulation through model parameter estimation and parameter floating value.(3)Study on the chain evolutionary response to social panic derived from major epidemic emergencies.Based on the particularity analysis of the chain evolution response to social panic derived from major epidemic emergencies,the corresponding coping principles were proposed,and the corresponding coping strategy system was formulated according to the research results.Research conclusions are as follows :(1)The mechanism study shows that the release of epidemic rumors,public perception of epidemic risk and confirmation of human-to-human transmission signals are the main triggers of social panic,and the construction and improvement of government credibility plays a role in the elimination of social panic.(2)The empirical study found that the mean absolute percentage error values of the two variables,the number of disease deaths and the degree of social panic,were 7.24% and 24.71%,respectively,indicating that the model proposed in this study can accurately describe the chain evolution process of social panic derived from major epidemic.In addition,in order to achieve the chain to respond effectively to the evolution process,the government should be collaborative media in a timely manner and transparently publish two types of information: content of epidemic information and the government behavior,and to assist medical institutions expand treating capacity,and expand the capacity of foundation treated to effect than new square hospitals,expand the capacity of temporary admitted to good effect.(3)The research on response points out that the particularity of the chain evolution response to social panic derived from major epidemic emergencies lies in the sociality of response subjects,the multi-directivity of response measures,the humanistic care of response measures and the "learning by doing" attribute of response methods.Coordinated response by the government,medical institutions,media and the public and the whole chain response of "controlling the source","preventing the spread" and "preventing the spread" constitute the basic response principles.
