Research On The Influence Of Social Security On Family Entrepreneurship

Innovation and entrepreneurship are the driving force for the sustained growth of the national economy.At present,the entrepreneurial environment in China has gradually improved,the entrepreneurial behavior of families has increased significantly,and the enthusiasm of the public for entrepreneurship continues to rise.At the same time,entrepreneurship,as a high-risk investment behavior,has not yet been provided by insurance companies for family entrepreneurship,and whether social security,which plays a role in resisting and avoiding family risks,can indirectly play a corresponding role to some extent has attracted the attention of scholars at home and abroad.Based on data from the 2017 China Household Finance Survey(CHFS),this paper takes household entrepreneurship as the research object.Moreover,this paper systematically examines the impact of social security and specific security programs on family entrepreneurship decision and motivation by sorting out the variables related to the impact of social security on family entrepreneurship at the individual,family and regional levels.The details are as follows: First,empirical regression is conducted on the influence of social security status of sample families on their entrepreneurial decision and motivation by Probit basic model;Secondly,Ivprobit model with instrumental variable method is used to correct the estimation bias caused by potential endogenous problems in the basic model.Thirdly,heterogeneity analysis was carried out according to different samples of urban and rural areas,regions and ages.Finally,the robustness of the above regression results was tested by adjusting the age sample of household head and using OLS model respectively.Through the theoretic and empirical study of family entrepreneurship,the following main conclusions are drawn :(1)Social security and specific security programs have a significant inhibiting effect on family entrepreneurship,that is to say,the higher the participation rate of social security,the lower the tendency of family entrepreneurship.(2)Social security has a significant "promoting" effect on the "opportunistic" entrepreneurial motivation,but a significant "inhibiting" effect on the "survival" entrepreneurial motivation.(3)There are urban and rural,regional and age differences in social security on family entrepreneurship.The impact of social security on family entrepreneurship in urban areas is more than 4 times greater than that in rural areas.
