In recent years,the Internet technology,especially mobile communication technology,is developing rapidly.With the popularization of 4G network and the application of commercial use of 5G communication network in 2019,it means that everyone has at least one high-speed equipment connected with the Internet,which allows them to know the world staying at home.The camera and other functions of mobile phone also let everyone hold the microphone and camera in their hands.The self media’s supervision on the government on the Internet has become an important way of social supervision,which plays a positive role in maintaining social fairness and justice.At the same time,the self media public opinion supervision also has two sides.In terms of the image building of the police,it brings benefits as well as challenges to the public security organs.As the "sword" of the people and the government,the police,who are responsible for maintaining social public order and fighting against illegal crimes,need to face many social contradictions in the process of dealing with all kinds of police situations,which makes the lens focus of omnipresent self media more easily transferred to the position of police.If a police-related incident is concerned on the self media,resulting in public opinion,it will naturally receive the broadcast of traditional media,which has a huge impact on the society.A good image of the police can improve the credibility of the public security force,and it is also a powerful medicine to enhance the internal combat effectiveness and cohesion of the public security organs.If the image of the public security organs is positive,the better it is to play its own functions,and the public security organs can become an important element in building a harmonious and stable society.In the environment of technological revolution caused by Internet technology,police related reports can be spread deeper and wider through the self media,and any reports about the negative image of the police can also be magnified as much as possible.This feature is an important difference between the self media and the traditional media.At this time,a small piece of negative news also has a strong impact on the image of the police,and the resulting problems become the challenges the public security organs have to face.First of all,through the study of literature at home and abroad,this paper makes a clear understanding of the research status at home and abroad on this subject,learning from and referring to the latest theory and innovation.Since the self media is the product of the new era,this paper combs the related concepts and characteristics of the self media and the police image.Then,in the self media environment,through the method of questionnaire survey and case analysis,it explores the current situation of the police in establishing the image.Starting from the two groups of the public security civil police and the social public,it investigates their image building of the police in the self media environment This paper tries to find out the differences between the public security police and the public in their cognition of the image of the police,and then analyzes the challenges faced by the image building of the police in the environment of self media,as well as the root causes of the challenges.It focuses on combing the causes of the problems from the three levels of individual,organization,environment and self media.Finally,according to the reasons of the problems,the countermeasures are put forward: first is to enhance the comprehensive quality of the police themselves;second,improve the management system and ensuring mechanism;third is to strengthen the self media construction of the public security organs,so as to create a good image of the police in the self media environment.
