Study On The Situation And Cause Of Police Image Crisis In The New Media Age And The Countermeasures

The rapid development of media promotes the civilization process of human society and brings people a convenient life.But with the spread of the Internet and new media,the image of the police has been greatly challenged.The frequent occurrence of various police incidents and negative public opinions has caused an unprecedented impact on the whole team,and its impact speed and effect have been greatly exceeded the expectations of the police force.This paper summarizes the relevant theoretical definition of crisis and police image crisis,as the theoretical support of the article,and studies on this basis.At the same time,combining with the research achievements of scholars in recent years,the author has combed the new forms and contents of the police image crisis by relying on the documents.Secondly,in order to achieve the combination of qualitative and quantitative,the author took the L city as a case,through the form of questionnaire,gathering a large number of personnel data for the police image related problem.Analysis the valid data of questionnaires by SPSS19.0 software,it was carried out to explain the status of police image crisis in five dimensions.The results of the data show a higher degree of interpretation and provide a reliable basis for the argument of the formation of police image crisis.Through the above analysis shows the damage to the image of the police internal main reason for the backward management system hasn't caught up with the development of society and demand,the low level of police overall quality and professional.The main external causes are summarized from the various pressures from society,the expectations and influence of the public on the police and the transmission and guiding role of new media.Finally,the author puts forward some suggestions on the reasons of influencing police image.Including strengthening the crisis management of the police organization,the crisis early warning construction and the crisis resolving power;to promote institutional reform to fix the higher requirements of the police under the new situation;improve the comprehensive quality of the police and form a good learning environment;professional quality should be improve,strengthening cultural construction and spreading more positive performance;regulate gun control and use strictly,and reduce the crisis caused by guns actively;speed up the construction of a new healthy and harmonious media relationship,be good at communicating and taking advantage of the spread of new media.In this way,the author hopes to provide the references for the reform of the police force,and also contribute to the research on the police image crisis.
