The development of network new media endows the government with a new relationship with the media,and its emergence and development change the pattern of public opinion communication.In recent years,scholars have studied the relationship between the government and the new media in crisis response,the positive and negative aspects of the new media in public opinion handling,the relationship between the government and the new media in public diplomacy,and how the government can effectively use the new media,etc.,and constructed the normal mode of interaction between the government and the media in China.However,the existing research results are not enough to deal with the current complex and changeable public opinion environment,and the relationship model needs to be adjusted according to the changes of the times.The interaction between the government and the new media is a two-way process,which requires the government and the new media to play their respective roles and put forward more detailed countermeasures to realize the benign interaction between them.With the continuous development of new media,Chinese governments at all levels attach great importance to the unique role of new media,actively participate in the construction of new media,strive to create a new media matrix,and become consumers of new media.New media has become an important channel of government information dissemination,an important part of government management,and a strong external supervision of the government.However,the development of new media has also brought new challenges to government public management,and negative public opinion is still frequent and prone.The novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak should be improved greatly in the interaction between the government and new media.The results of the benign interaction are also more prominent,such asenhancing the credibility of the government,improving the quality of new media information,and effectively suppressing the breeding of rumors.However,in the face of the complex new media environment,in the process of response to the epidemic,there are still some problems in the interaction between the government and the new media,such as the slow response of public opinion,the lack of media guidance,information asymmetry,and the new media’s failure to fulfill their social responsibilities.In the new era,to construct the benign interaction between the government and the new media,it is necessary to combine the theories and methods of new public management,journalism and communication,crisis management,law and other disciplines to reconstruct the benign interaction mode of the two.Secondly,the government should be good at treating,managing and using new media,that is to say,the government should strengthen the information publicity,improve the public opinion management mechanism,improve the public opinion legal system and use new media efficiently.Finally,the new media should adhere to the principle of self-consciousness,independence and self-discipline,that is,the new media platform should adhere to professional ethics,do a good job in information "gatekeeper",take the initiative to assume social responsibility,and combine the technology of new media with the authority of the government. |
