Study On The Main Role Of Farmers In Rural Revitalization

Rural revitalization is the strategic goal clearly put forward in the report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Party,and it is also an important content of Xi Jinping’s thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.In the context of the strategy of rural revitalization,in order to speed up the pace of agricultural rural modernization and better solve the "three rural" problems in the new era,we must strive to eliminate the factors that restrict the role of farmers’ subjectivity and give full play to the main role of farmers in rural revitalization.In rural revitalization,farmers are the main force of rural industrial development,the promoter of green development,the practitioner of civilized rural style,the participant of rural governance,the shaper of beautiful countryside,and it is inevitable to give play to the main role of farmers,which is the fundamental requirement of the Party’s mass line,the summary of the Party’s long-term experience in rural work,the proper meaning of rural revitalization and the necessary conditions for rural revitalization.However,the main role of farmers in the process of play is hindered by some factors,farmers’ low self-identity,lack of policy cognitive ability,low enthusiasm for political participation,low comprehensive quality,the continuation of traditional ideas and rural talents.The lack and loss of subjective factors hinder the play of the main role of farmers;related policies are not perfect,the urban and rural dual structure constraints,the development of grass-roots democratic politics is not balanced,and the offside and absence of grass-roots government functions limit the space for farmers to play the main role.In order to give full play to the main role of farmers and realize rural revitalization,it is necessary to optimize the rural development environment,strengthen the quality training of farmers,speed up the transformation of government functions,respect the will of farmers,and constantly increase the policy support for rural areas.The vast number of farmers are the beneficiaries of rural revitalization,but also the participants and practitioners of rural revitalization.In the new era,only by giving full play to the main role of farmers can we provide lasting impetus for rural development and realize the grand goal of rural revitalization.
