| With the advent of an aging society in China,more and more elderly people who are rich and powerful are withdrawing from the labor market.In an era characterized by a knowledge-based economy in which intelligence and knowledge are the main labor factors provide the possibility for retirees to be re-employed,and more and more retirees choose to continue to be re-employed for various needs.A review of the literature shows that perceived employability is a subjective measure of an individual’s ability to maintain or seek employment.Studies have shown that it has positive aspects,such as promoting positive career exploration,promoting individual well-being and buffering work stress,and negative aspects,such as stimulating individual self-interest,reducing employees’ emotional commitment to the organization and increasing the propensity to leave.We should focus on the positive aspects of perceived employability and the relationship between individuals’ own psychological factors and job search and re-employment for retired people and around the building of an actively aging society in China.In addition,although individual behavior is influenced by the interaction between one’s own traits and the environment,past research has shown that individuals with high levels of proactive personality are able to clarify their goals,are not limited by their environment,and continuously strive to overcome difficulties to achieve their goals.Therefore,based on resource conservation theory,this study aims to analyze the relationship between perceived employability and job search behavior of retirees by considering perceived employability as an important psychological resource for retirees.Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior,job search intention is introduced to explore its mediating role between the two,and on this basis,proactive personality is added to explore its moderating role between perceived employability and job search behavior,and job search intention and job search behavior.Based on this,this study conducted questionnaire method research on retirees through the Perceived Employability Scale,Job Search Intention Scale,Job Search Behavior Scale and Proactive Personality Scale,and collected 413 valid samples,and used tools such as AMOS23.0,Citespace5.8,and SPSS25.0 to analyze the collected questionnaire data,and obtained the following conclusions:(1)There is no mediation between retirees’ job search behavior does not differ between genders;(2)age is significantly and positively correlated with job search behavior;(3)job search behavior does not differ between education levels;(4)economic level is significantly and positively correlated with job search behavior;(5)health status is significantly and positively correlated with job search behavior;(6)perceived employability is significantly and positively correlated with job search behavior;(7)job search intention plays a partially mediating role in the relationship between perceived employability and job search behavior;and(8)job search intention plays a partially mediating role in the relationship between perceived employability and job search behavior.(7)job search intention plays a partially mediating role in the relationship between perceived employability and job search behavior;(8)proactive personality does not play a moderating role in the positive relationship between perceived employability and job search behavior;proactive personality positively moderates the positive relationship between job search intention and job search behavior.This study enriches the research on the mechanism of perceived employability on job search behavior of retirees to a certain extent.At the same time,by exploring the relationship between perceived employability and job-seeking behavior,it can,to a certain extent,draw attention to perceived employability in the future redevelopment of elderly people’s resources.The results of the study suggest that developing more channels for continuing education and training,creating a favorable employment environment,and popularizing the role models and concepts of active aging are important for how to improve individual perceived employability and job-seeking intention and thus enhance job-seeking behavior in China.The results of the study suggest the development of more channels for continuing education and training,the creation of an employment environment,and the popularization of role models and concepts of active aging. |
