Many surveys show that college students are a high incidence of psychological disorders.Compared with male college students,female college students are more likely to cause psychological disorders.Studies have shown that psychological pressure will have a negative impact on people’s subjective well-being.Therefore,it is necessary to find appropriate ways to relieve the psychological pressure of female college students,enhance their subjective well-being and improve their mental health level.Many previous studies have proved that physical exercise plays a positive role in promoting people’s mental health,but there are few specific studies on the mental health of female college students in sports dance,especially cowboy dance.This study explored the influence of jive practice on stress response and subjective well-being of female college students,and provided theoretical basis for improving the mental health level of female college students.In this study,90 female college students in junior year of Hubei University of Economics were selected as the experimental objects,including30 sports dance group as the experimental group,for 12 weeks of cowboy dance practice;The music appreciation group(30 as the experimental control group)received a 12-week music appreciation course.The remaining 30 were blank control group without any teaching intervention.The influence of jive dance practice on stress response and subjective well-being of female college students was studied by means of questionnaire measurement and experimental method.The experimental materials were "College Students stress Response Characteristic Scale" and "College Students Subjective Well-being Scale".Through data analysis and comparison before and after the experiment,it can be seen that the pressure response level of the experimental group before and after the experiment has reached extremely significant difference(P <0.001),the experimental control group has significant difference(P<0.05),and the blank control group has no significant difference.After the experiment,the stress response level of the three groups reached extremely significant difference(P <0.001).Before and after the experiment,the level of subjective well-being of female college students in the experimental group reached and significant difference(P <0.001),and there was no significant difference between the experimental control group and the blank control group.After the experiment,the subjective well-being level of the three groups reached a significant difference(P <0.001).Conclusion:(1)The 12 weeks of jive practice and the 12 weeks of music appreciation course had significant relief effect on the overall stress response of female college students.Among them,the effect of jive training was better than music appreciation course in improving the negative self,monotonous extracurricular dimension and stress response scores of female college students.Both interventions can effectively alleviate the negative emotions of female college students and there is no significant difference in this dimension.(2)The effects of the two interventions on improving the stress response of female college students have certain pertinence.In addition to learning disorder,the other seven dimensions were significantly improved by jive practice.Music appreciation course has a significant effect on the improvement of negative self,monotonous after-school and negative emotion dimensions.(3)The 12-week jive exercise can significantly enhance the subjective well-being of female college students,and it is effective for all dimensions except life satisfaction.Although the 12-week music appreciation course could not enhance the subjective well-being of female college students,it effectively alleviated their negative emotions and promoted the generation of positive emotions.(4)There was no significant difference between the two intervention methods in promoting positive emotions of female college students;In terms of improving female college students’ negative emotions,the intervention effect of cowboy dance was better than that of music appreciation course.Advice:(1)It is suggested that colleges and universities with permitted conditions carry out the jive as a public course,strengthen the publicity of sports dance,especially the jive,improve the enthusiasm of female college students to participate in the practice of jive,help them to get rid of bad emotions in the process of practice,relieve psychological pressure,enhance their subjective happiness,and reduce and prevent the occurrence of psychological disorders.(2)It is suggested that colleges and universities should pay more attention to the mental health level of college students,especially female students.The mental health level of female college students is tested regularly to grasp the dynamic of their mental health level in real time.According to the actual situation,psychological health education courses or set up psychological counseling platform to provide professional psychological counseling channels for students.
