With the acceleration of world globalization and the continuous progress of technology development,multimedia technology is becoming more and more widely used in education.In the professional course teaching of secondary vocational secretary English,multimedia technology has become an essential tool for secretary English teaching,which not only enriches the secretary English teaching content,enhances the teaching interest,but also improves the classroom teaching effect,multimedia technology plays a more and more important role in secretary English teaching.However,at the end of 2019 to the novel coronavirus has brought great impact on secondary vocational teaching,in the face of the sudden outbreak,multimedia technology in secretary English teaching,its role is not enough,secretary English multimedia teaching needs to further optimize to find solutions to the problems.This study investigates the use and existing problems of multimedia technology in the English teaching of secondary vocational secretary.Literature review,interview and questionnaire survey were used and survey data analysis was performed using IBM SPSS Statics26.0.To 380 students and 8 secretary English teachers of two vocational colleges questionnaire and interview,from the multimedia secretary English teaching cognitive survey,teaching methods and means,teaching hardware facilities survey and quality monitoring and management,teacher organization management level and interaction between teachers and students,teaching courseware make the five dimensions.The results show that,the new multimedia teaching can help to improve student secretaries’ interest in English learning,but there are some problems,such as imperfect school hardware facilities,low teachers making courseware,little understanding of emerging education platforms and Internet;most teachers’ teaching organization management level needs to be improved,weak teachers’ interaction effect,lack of multimedia quality control,single teaching means,low student satisfaction and difficult teaching level.Based on a comprehensive analysis of the causes of the problems,Combined with relevant theories and research results,This study presents some suggestions for improving the use of multimedia technology in secretarial English classroom teaching: strengthening the management of the teaching environment,Improve the multimedia hardware construction;Strengthen the training on teachers’ multimedia teaching,Improve the comprehensive quality,Strengthen the secretary of the English teacher’s awareness of the role of multimedia teaching technology,improve teaching ability,Understand and learn to master the Internet + skills and emerging education platforms,Strengthen teacher training and international exchanges and cooperation;Set up a multimedia teaching supervision and management mechanism,Establish the awareness of full participation and full supervision;Set up the teaching and research organization mechanism,Create a multimedia discussion atmosphere;Enrich the secretarial English teaching mode,Strengthen the application of other classroom forms in the secretary of English multimedia teaching,Establish an online teaching mode,Create a problem situation,Implement heuristic teaching and task-oriented teaching.
