Research On Design Of Chinese Character Micro Course For Foreigners ——Taking Works On Three Platforms As Examples

With the development of information technology and the massive growth of information,fragmented and personalized active learning has been paid more and more attention and favor.In this context,short and concise micro lessons have become an important way for people to carry out informal learning.In recent years,the theoretical research and development of micro lessons have always been a research hotspot.The related competitions are in full swing,and the micro lesson learning platform has been greatly improved both in quantity and quality.In order to meet the increasingly diversified learning needs of learners,scholars and front-line teachers in the field of teaching Chinese as a second language have introduced micro lessons into Chinese as a second language teaching and made great achievements.Throughout the current research results,there is still little research on the design of Chinese character micro lesson,thus,there is still a lot of research space.Therefore,this paper focuses on the research on the design characteristics of Chinese character micro lesson,in order to make some modest efforts to improve the design theory and design of Chinese character micro lesson itself.The research samples of this paper come from the three platforms of "Micro Lecture Contest","ICourse"and "Chinese Plus".From them,12 themed Chinese character micro lesson works and 10 series of Chinese character micro lesson works are selected.The design characteristics of the current Chinese character micro lesson works for foreigners are described and analyzed by classroom observation,data analysis and content analysis.The research found that:first,the themed Chinese character micro lessons mostly adopt the design mode of straight to the point and anchoring;Second,the teaching process of themed Chinese character micro lesson includes three types:IP,IEP and IEPS,among which the IEPS structure is the most frequently used;Thirdly,the setting of teaching objectives of themed Chinese character micro lesson shows the characteristics of emphasizing knowledge and skills,and the process and method objectives are also the focus of attention.The objectives of emotional attitude and values are not very involved.In terms of quantity,the setting of objectives from all angles is basically no more than three;Fourth,the themed Chinese character micro lesson has obvious preference in the selection of teaching content.The works focus on the explanation of Chinese character components(side)and Chinese character formation method,followed by the side evolved from single characters,cultural knowledge related to Chinese characters,and the evolution of Chinese characters;Fifth,in the themed Chinese character micro lesson,we can find not only the general teaching methods in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,such as induction and deduction,picture method,action demonstration method,but also the special literacy method.The literacy method most used in relevant works is the word theory literacy method;Sixth,the series of micro lesson works can be divided into two categories:Chapter type and single class type;Seventh,from the structural characteristics of the teaching content,the series of micro lesson works can be divided into two categories:parallel structure and spiral structure;Eighth,the focus of the selection of teaching content of the series of Chinese character micro lessons is basically the same as that of the theme Chinese character micro lessons.The difference is that the series of Chinese character micro lessons explain more cultural knowledge related to Chinese characters.Some works also involve the knowledge of checking dictionaries and the knowledge of computer word information processing.Based on the above eight findings,we analyze the causes of the design characteristics of Chinese character micro lesson,and find some problems in the design of Chinese character micro lesson at the same time.The main problems include:the design mode of integrating theory and practice has not paid attention to the value of Chinese character micro lesson;The importance of stroke order and stroke teaching has not been paid due attention;Some works use the improper Chinese characters as examples;The improper use of dynamic pictures in some works leads to the overload of visual information,which is easy to distract students’ attention;The use of literacy method is relatively single,and teachers do not comprehensively use a variety of literacy methods to help students understand the relationship between the shape,sound and meaning of Chinese characters.At the same time,we put forward some feasible suggestions for the problems found,hoping to provide reference for the design and production of Chinese character micro lesson for foreigners.
