A Report On Chinese-English Translation Of XX Group Report On Requirement Analysis And Current Situation Research From The Perspective Of Text Typology Theory

Guided by Reiss’s text typology theory,this thesis takes the excerpt from the section “4.2 ISO27001 Gap Analysis” of XX Group Report on Requirement Analysis and Current Situation Research as the translation practice material to explore the characteristics of words,sentences and text of informative texts and its translation.Reiss’s text typology theory involves text types and translation methods,in which Reiss defines text types from the functions and dimensions of language,the text focus and the target text purposes,and puts forward translation methods for different text types.Under the guidance of this theory,the author of this thesis determines that the main text type of the translation practice material is informative,and the translation method should be “Plain prose,explicitation as required”.Based on Reiss’s discussion and the characteristics of the material,the author of this thesis sums up three principles for the translation of informative texts: plain language,logical expression and correct information.Under the guidance of principles,different translation methods are used to translate specific words,sentences and texts,so as to achieve the purpose of target text,"Deliver referential context."...
