On The Construction And Expression Of "Musical Image" In Bamboo Flute Works

"Imagery" in music works is a concept that is difficult to solidify.However,"imagery" has its own specific interpretation in Chinese classical literary theories,that is,"objective image that incorporates subjective feelings".The author believes that there are "images" in music works.This article intends to explore the construction and expression of "music image" in bamboo flute works with the help of the "image theory" in Yuan Xingpei’s "Chinese Poetry Art Research".Bamboo flute works are pure music.Compared with poetry,its expression is non-semantic;compared with art,it is non-descriptive.Because of this,our understanding of the connotation of works often has no fixed or absolutely consistent conclusions.Instrumental music works are the art of sound,and people’s understanding of its content is often abstract and open.When we analyze the work around the performance of the work,we need to capture the visual and perceptible sound combination form from it.With the help of the material behind the instrumental work,it includes: the creative background of the work,the composer’s creative intentions,and the creation of the work.Other literary and historical materials,etc.,use imagination as the carrier of thought and emotion in the work,that is,the object image.Then it blends into the performer’s subjective affection to make it an image.The "images" in Chinese classical poetry are generally born with creation or given by the creator.It is centered around the creator.For instrumental works,the performer is an important part,and the second creation of the work cannot be ignored.This involves a problem that is not in the original concept of(poetry)"image",that is,the player’s construction and expression of the image in the musical work.This article intends to use the "imagery theory" in Yuan Xingpei’s "Research on Chinese Poetry Art" to propose a concept based on the player’s "musical imagery" and combine it with the musical material of bamboo flute works.Reasonable construction of "music image" and actual performance expression.
