Wang Hua,the prince of the State of Yue of the Tang Dynasty,was the most revered local deity of Huizhou people in history.He used peaceful reconciliation to avoid wars in the region,calm the people,promoted national reunification,and promoted the integration of the Central Plains culture and the Shanyue culture.After Wang Hua’s death,Wang Hua was widely worshipped in Huizhou by virtue of these heroic deeds,and Wang Hua’s faith developed into one of the most important and influential folk beliefs in Huizhou local society.This article selects Wang Hua’s belief in Huizhou area as the research object.First,from the perspective of documents and materials,following the historical context of the development of Wang Hua ’ s belief,it traces the origin of Wang Hua ’ s belief,his life achievements,supernatural deeds,and the process of change since its inception.The main theme of Wang Hua’s beliefs from the perspective of different subjects in history,and finally,return to the belief activities of Wang Hua’s beliefs-Li Yang drums.Through analysis of the process and function of the drum rituals,the author believes that we should take care of the positive factors of Wang Hua ’ s belief in contemporary times,Give play to the positive significance of faith to local society.The first chapter classifies the rich and colorful folk beliefs in Huizhou.While maintaining historical traditions,Huizhou folk beliefs also present the characteristics of pluralism,utilitarianism and personalization.It briefly summarizes Wang Hua’s beliefs through his life achievements,supernatural deeds,and the distribution of beliefs in the realm.From the perspective of historical changes,the second chapter introduces the process of the formation of Wang Hua’s faith,the promotion of godhood,the spread and development,and the expression of the clanization of the faith under the intervention and encouragement of the state.Under the continuous edicts of successive dynasties and the continuous rectification of local elites,the belief of Wang Hua has surpassed the changes of dynasties and lasted for a long time.The third chapter describes the interaction between the court,the locality and the people,confirming the complex relationship between the state power and local society.The imperial court promoted the orthodox cultural concepts of "loyalty to the emperor" and "loving the people",inputting national consciousness into local discourse,and realizing the effective control of state power over local society.Officials and local elites as local powers played the role of dissemination.While teaching the villagers,they also stood on the stand of the villagers.They conveyed the "local text" of Wang Hua’s belief to the imperial court,emphasizing the local interests and consolidating One’s own privilege in the local society.The interaction between the imperial court,the locality,and the people realized the state’s integration of the grassroots society.The fourth chapter introduces the ritual process and cultural characteristics of the existing folk activities in Wang Hua’s belief,"Li Yang drums",based on field investigations.In the ritual carnival,it also reflects the reciprocity of the gods and the gods.A certain ritual taboo.The fifth chapter introduces that in the new era,we must actively bring into play the excellent cultural spiritual connotation of Wanghua’s belief culture of family and country,noble monks,and people as the foundation of the country,and integrate folk beliefs with village rules and regulations.The combination of traditional festivals emphasizes the backbone of socialist core values,draws on the ecological wisdom of Wang Hua’s beliefs,preserves historical memory,and promotes harmony in the village. |
