The Serial Researches Of Lin Zaiping’s Artistic Intercourse

Lin Zaiping was a Fujian literati who was active in Beijing during the period of the Republic of China.He dabbled in a wide range of philosophy,justice,painting and calligraphy,poetry and prose.After his death,Lin Geng,his successor,collected and sorted his remains and manuscripts and compiled them into Study of model calligraphy,Collection of poems and articles and Calligraphy and paintings collection of Mr.Lin Zaiping.In the field of art,Lin has a high attainments.In terms of painting,Lin participated in the activities of Xuannan painting club organized by Yu Shaosong in Beijing.He was friendly with Chen Shizeng and Yao Mangfu.In terms of calligraphy,Lin was good at Zhangcao.In the middle of the Republic of China,he advocated Zhangcao with his close friends Zhuo Junyong,Yu Shaosong,Liang Qichao and Luo Fukan in Beijing and Tianjin.In terms of poetry,Lin had close contacts with Chen Yan and Chen Baochen in Beijing,who were also outstanding representatives of Fujian poets and had many poems handed down.In addition,at the same time,the Lingnan literati who lived in Beijing,such as Luo Dunrong,Luo Fukan,and Chen Shutong in Hangzhou,also had close contacts with Lin Zaiping,and had more contacts in poetry,calligraphy and other aspects.At present,there is not much research on Lin Zaiping and his artistic intercourse in the academic circle.Therefore,the author will make a detailed introduction to Lin Zaiping and his artistic intercourse before studying the concrete artistic intercourse.On this basis,four scholars who have close academic and artistic contact with Lin Zaiping are selected to focus on their communication with Lin Zaiping in the field of art and their mutual influence.First,study the artistic intercourse between Lin Zaiping and Liang Qichao.Liang Qichao was a statesman,thinker and outstanding scholar who had great influence in the period of the Republic of China.After Liang Qichao returned from Japan,he had close contacts with Lin Zaiping.Especially in the 1920 s,they had many contacts in the fields of Buddhism,poetry,Zhangcao and so on.Even Liang Qichao’s withdrawal from politics was related to Lin Zaiping.These will be the focus of this paper.Secondly,it studies the artistic intercourse between Lin Zaiping and Yu Shaosong.Yu Shaosong was Lin’s colleague and close friend in the Ministry of justice.During his organization of Xuannan painting club in Beijing,Lin Zaiping was bound to come almost every time.He often wrote poems and paintings to each other.At the same time,in the study of Zhangcao and the compilation of Yu’s painting theory works,Lin Zaiping also provided great help.Friendship between Lin Zaiping and Yu Shaosong in art will be the focus of this paper.Thirdly,it studies the artistic intercourse between Lin Zaiping and Zhuo Junyong.Zhuo Junyong was Lin Zaiping’s compatriot from Fujian.They met in Japan and settled down in Beijing after returning home.They had close exchanges in poetry and Zhangcao.Especially during the period of the Republic of China,they devoted themselves to reviving Zhangcao in Beijing and Tianjin,which had a wide influence at that time.The friendship between Lin Zaiping and Zhuo Junyong is a miniature of Lin Zaiping’s friendship with Fujian compatriots during his stay in Beijing.Fourth,study the artistic intercourse activities between Lin Zaiping and Chen Shutong.Before his death,Lin had a close relationship with Chen Shutong in poetry,calligraphy and painting.The preface of the Study of model calligraphy is written by Chen Shutong,and the poems and anthologies in the book are signed by him.In addition,several of the few works included in the Calligraphy and paintings collection of Mr.Lin Zaiping are donated to Chen Shutong.It can be seen that they are close to each other.Chen Shutong’s close contact with Lin Zaiping began after 1937,and he was the core figure of Lin’s art communication in his later years.The author hopes that through the study of this paper,we can restore the image of Lin Zaiping as a painter and poet as much as possible,and explore his artistic views and artistic attainments,as well as his important influence in Beijing and Tianjin painting circle at that time,so as to provide some supplement and inspiration for the related research of Lin Zaiping in the future.
