| As an important stone document,epigraph has a variety of systems and rich relics.Due to the flourishing of the study of the textual research of the gold and stone in the Qing Dynasty,many scholars began to pay attention to and study the calligraphic works of the Northern Wei Dynasty,and the unearthed epitaph became increasingly rich.Ruan Yuan,a calligrapher in the Qing Dynasty,was the first scholar to affirm the calligraphic value of the Northern Wei Dynasty.He advocated the Northern Tablet in theory,which laid the foundation for the establishment and development of stele.Later,Bao Shichen further elaborated on the techniques of the Northern Stele to comform to the historical trend of the time,but he did not specifically recommend the Northern Wei dynasty stone inscription.Kang Youwei in the late Qing Dynasty to strengthen its potential,extremely respected the North dynasty stone inscription and clearly put forward the concept of "Wei tablet".In a short time,calligraphers’ learning from wei tablet had become a craze.However,since the late Qing Dynasty,people have paid more attention to the "Wei Steles" carved in the late Northern Wei Dynasty,but have little understanding of the calligraphy of Pingcheng period,which leads to narrow vision of calligraphy.Based on the above content,I created this article with the epistaph of Northern Wei dynasty in Shanxi as the research object,which aims to investigate the general situation of the epitaph of the Northern Wei Dynasty in Shanxi and explore the literature value and writing style of the epitaph of the Northern Wei Dynasty in Shanxi.During the Northern Wei Dynasty,the positive policy of sinicization and the promotion of Buddhist culture led to the prevalence of tablet and stone carving.As an important territory under the control of the Northern Wei Dynasty,Shanxi has superior geographical location and rich cultural resources.So a large number of epitaph are the precious resources left by history to Shanxi.And the epitaph of Northern Wei Dynasty has exquisite calligraphy and various styles.Calligraphy of this period was a transition stage from li calligraphy to Kai calligraphy.Through a comprehensive study of the relationship between the source and flow of the epitaph of the Northern Wei Dynasty in Shanxi,we can further explore the evolution law of the epitaph.As the product in the process of font change,learners need to be more careful and correct in the use of different characters.In the process of font use,there will be a large number of tablet words,they should be treated according to the specific situation and should not generalize.In order to study Weibei calligraphy in a longer term,learners need to improve their cultural literacy and dig deeply into its connotation.Through combing and statistics,the present general situation of Shanxi’s epitaph in this period is summarized to pave the way for the research content.As a special document resource which has very rich historical materials,these epitaph not only help us to truly understand the social culture,funeral system and customs at that time,but also can investigate the life and family of the tomb owner,provide historical reference and complement the deficiency of historical books,and provide precious material materials of calligraphy.Both the literature resources and the calligraphy art make the epitaph more charming and extraordinary in value,which requires us to continue to explore the secrets of it. |
