The historical activities of the Lingnan(south of the Great Khingan Mountains)Khalkha in the 1620 s,are an important stage in the tribe’s history.By studying the history of the Lingnan Khalkha during this period,it is possible to understand more clearly the flexible,and diverse political measures taken by the Aisin Kingdom/Qing Dynasty against Mongolia,and the situation and fate of the Mongolian political groups throughout the feudal era of partition.Based on the results of previous research,this paper further investigates several historical problems of the Lingnan Khalkha in the 1620 s,using Manchu and Mongolian archives and Chinese historical materials of the end of Ming Dynasty.This paper can be divided into four parts.Part 1,the history of the Lingnan Khalkha in the middle of the sixteenth century and the beginning of the seventeenth century.It focuses on the formation of the Lingnan Khalkha,the lineage of rulers and their early historical activities,and the attitudes of the Lingnan Khalkha in the Ming dynasty and the Nüzhen struggle.Part 2,it discusses the alliance between Aisin and Lingnan Khalkha in the fourth year of Tianming dynasty(1619),which focuses on the purpose of the Aisin initiative and Lingnan Khalkha alliance,the attitude of the five tribes of Lingnan Khalkha to the alliance,and Aisin political measures to divide Lingnan Khalkha.Part 3,it further explores the conquest of Aisin State to the Aang A of Jarut in the eighth year of Tianming dynasty(1623),which mainly examines the purpose,and impact of the Aisin State conquest of Aangga and others.Part 4,By analyzing the relationship between Chahar and Lingnan Khalkha in the 1620 s,and puts forwards my own views on Lindan Khan ’s “conquest” for Lingnan Khalkha.Finally,this paper also talks about the ownership of the five tribes of Lingnan Khalkha. |
