| In the the new era of mobile learning,a new learning method that using APP to learn a second language is emerging around the world and has attracted widespread attention from the academic community.With the increasing enthusiasm of people all over the world to learn Chinese,the field of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages is facing new opportunities and challenges.It is particularly important to explore the effective path of Chinese learning APP to assist the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and the improvement measures of Chinese learning APP.According to data,English learning APP are developing rapidly,with numerous research documents and comprehensive perspectives.In contrast,the development and research of Chinese learning APP has gradually increased in recent years,but the application of specific APPs in specific countries needs to be further supplemented.Through literature reading,personal observation,and questionnaire survey,this study found that the types,quality and frequency of Chinese learning APPs used by Thai college students are low.Therefore,students seldom use their spare time to conduct mobile learning of Chinese.In view of this situation,this research wants to explore the effective ways of assisted teaching by Chinese learning APPs and the direction of improving qualitive APPs,and verify the effect of Chinese learning APPs on the improvement of students’ Chinese in the form of experiments.After studying the types and basic situations of Chinese learning apps,the author drew up the standards on the basis of the general standards of language APPs and the characteristics of university students in Thailand,tried out the comprehensive Chinese learning apps,and selected the Super Chinese as a tool for experimentation.A controlled experiment was carried out in two classes:the students in class A did Chinese learning APP exercises and clocked in every day,and class B only participated in regular learning activities without additional clocking in.After one semester,the author compared the total scores and comprehensive activity scores of the two groups of students,and found that the final total scores and comprehensive activity assignment scores of class A were higher than those of class B,and the class A became more active.It can be seen that the long-term use of Super Chinese helps to improve students’ Chinese test scores and oral expression skills.In order to make clearer suggestions for improvement to the comprehensive Chinese learning APP,after the experiment,the author once again asked the students of Class A to do a questionnaire.The questionnaire showed that the students believed that Super Chinese would help improve their Chinese listening,speaking,reading and writing skills,but they hoped that the app would be cheaper and the operating system would be more complete and smoother.This study also interviewed three Chinese teachers.The teachers agreed with the role of Chinese learning APP and Super Chinese,but they believed that the price,system functions,and promotion of Super Chinese need to be improved.Based on the practice of Super Chinese,this study uses questionnaire surveys and interviews to point out that the improvement direction of the comprehensive Chinese learning APP like Super Chinese is to improve the authority of learning resources,the advancement of AI technology and the diversity of promotion methods.As an experimental case conducted among university students in Thailand,this research also provides practical suggestions on software price selection,practice duration,incentive methods,organization and management for Chinese teachers who want to try to use Chinese APP to assist in teaching. |
