With the increasing popularity of international Chinese education,in addition to language teaching,individual teaching has gradually developed.Under this form,cultural teaching is particularly important,and scholars’ research on cultural textbooks is also valued.Compared with language textbooks,cultural textbooks started late.Although the cultural textbooks on the market are diversified,the practicality of cultural textbooks is not high in the actual process of cultural teaching.Teaching materials are the carrier of course content and one of the important research objects in educational research.Due to the lack of syllabus guidance,the international Chinese cultural textbooks have always shown a complicated and disorderly development state.The academic circles have relatively comprehensive research on international Chinese cultural textbooks.However,if you conduct a detailed analysis of these studies,you can see that still there are some shortcomings of these studies,including: more attention has been paid to traditional cultural content in textbooks,while contemporary culture has been neglected;more attention has been paid to textbooks published in Chinese mainland,and less research on textbooks in other countries and regions;the main research on cultural textbooks it focuses on the orientation of cultural content,and pays less attention to the overall compiling strategies and suggestions of cultural textbooks.This research is based on the system theory,and the two sets of textbooks "A Survey of China" and "Chinese Traditional Culture and Modern Life" are used as the research objects to conduct comparative analysis and research on cultural textbooks.The research process is to divide the teaching material system into three parts according to the structure,and conduct research from three aspects:the overall structure of the textbooks,the structure of the knowledge system,and the structure of the knowledge application.In the research method,the literature research method is used to systematically inspect the two cultural textbooks,the data statistics method,quantitative analysis method and comparative research method of the text content of the textbook,through the textbook illustrations,cultural orientation,text selection,exercises,etc.Quantitative statistics,explore the characteristics and problems of cultural textbooks,and put forward corresponding suggestions based on the current problems of cultural textbooks and the actual situation of cultural teaching during my overseas internships.The main research content is to compare the two international Chinese cultural textbook systems,comprehensively analyze the three structures of the two cultural textbooks,explore the characteristics of the two sets of cultural textbooks studied in this article,and conclude that the two sets of textbooks can be used by other cultural textbooks in the part of learning and reference,I found out the remaining problems of the current textbooks and made suggestions for the further expansion of cultural textbooks.
