| Xu Zechen,as a writer of the "post-70" generation, discusses the ambivalence and historical destiny of the "post-70" generation with the "returning home narrative" mode of "leaving--returning--leaving again" as his narrative structure. This phenomenon makes them have to leave again and again to seek a place of peace, which forms the core theme of Xu Zechen’s novels,"Going to the World".Where is the world? In Xu Zechen’s novels, this is a direction that gradually deepens and clarifies from the simple to the deep: Flower Street is also a part of the world, and China is the core of the world. The study of the "returning home narrative" mode of "leaving--returning--leaving again" in Xu Zechen’s novels is particularly important for the theme of "going to the world" in Xu Zechen’s novels and the spiritual wandering history of the "post-70s" generation who leave, return and seek again in the process of modernization.Based on the close reading of the text, this paper combines the existing research literature to discuss the form of the "homecoming narrative" mode in Xu Zechen’s novels, and at the same time,it deeply explores the unique implication behind the "homecoming narrative" mode. This thesis,by combing and studying Xu Zechen’s novel creation, explores the ingenious combination of the mode of "returning home narrative" and the theme of "going to the world" in Xu Zechen’s novel creation, and explores the path of self-redemption after individual life experiences spiritual wandering and breakthrough. The full text is divided into three chapters, the first chapter discusses Xu Zechen’s novel "home narrative" mode ceaseless. This paper holds that the mode of "homecoming narration" in Xu Zechen’s novels is influenced by the "homecoming narration" in Lu Xun’s rural novels during the May Fourth Movement period, and coincides with the historical background of "working tide",which is also an artistic embodiment of the writer’s life experience in Beijing. The second chapter focuses on the "homecoming narrative" mode of Xu Zechen’s novels by taking the "Flower Street" series, the "Beijing Drifting" series and his later novels as examples. The "Flower Street" series is mainly bilanguage novels,in which Xu Zechen chooses children or teenagers as the main characters. After experiencing the pain of youth growth and witnessing the tragedy of the collapse of rural ethics, they leave Huayie in search of spiritual salvation. The series of "Jingdriao" novels discuss the escapees who have to return to Huajie after experiencing the double crisis of survival and spirit in Beijing and search for salvation again. After experiencing the "departure--return" between his hometown and Beijing in his individual life,Xu Zechen directed his salvation toward "leaving again",that is,"going to the world",and deepened the theme of "going to the world" by creating images such as "train" and "Jerusalem".The third chapter mainly studies the implication of Xu Zechen’s novel "homecoming narrative" mode.First of all,Xu Zechen’s novel "home narrative" mode embodies the "classical" and "modern" integration of narrative style;Secondly,Xu Zechen discusses the relationship between people and the city behind the "homecoming narrative" mode. Finally, the theme of the novel "to the world" presents a deepening process from the hometown and the world’s opposition to integration and then to mutual hope. |
