On The Theme And Narrative Technique Of "Going To The World" In Xu Zechen’s Novels

In recent years,with his solid writing skills and composed writing style,Xu Zechen has gradually attracted attention and become a typical representative of the "post-70s" writers.From 2011 to recent years,Xu Zechen’s latest novel creation has always existed and developed a theme expression of "going to the world" in the rich narrative connotation.This theme not only summarizes the thoughts embodied in the text of Xu Zechen’s novels,but also comes from Xu Zechen’s own expressions.By means of close reading and comparative study,this paper explores the theme of "going to the world" in Xu Zechen’s novels,and analyzes the ideological connotation,text features and narrative strategies of Xu Zechen’s novels.The first chapter mainly sorts out the overall aspect of Xu Zechen’s theme of "going to the world" in his novels,and discusses the commonality of his literary works.From the geographical space,spiritual space and cultural fields,this paper analyzes the rich connotations of "going to the world".The first meaning is that "going to the world" is the geographical change and migration,while "the world" is the physical and realistic world,which means that people complete the mobile changes in the real and specific geographical space that can be referred to.The second meaning is that "going to the world" is the spiritual rise and growth,while "the world" is the spiritual and spiritual world,which means that people realize awakening and moving forward in the imaginative and hidden spiritual space.The third meaning is that "going to the world" is the extension of culture,and "the world" is the world in the sense of civilization and history,which means that people realize the rise and transcendence in the allegorical and collective social space.Changed due to the spiritual growth of characters is always accompanied by action,often accompanied by layer 1 and layer 2 meaning,geographical space and spiritual space with the pursuit of "to the world",the rich an important transportation channel,canal is also associated with history and culture.In the process of reaching the outside world,along with the space movement,is the change of the personal spiritual world.The second chapter discusses the new development of Xu Zechen’s theme of "going to the world" in the historical dimension.Firstly,Xu Zechen’s exposition of the relationship between history and reality is discussed.Jerusalem focuses on the common changes of the living situation and spiritual field of the "post-70s" generation in the historical process.Going north focuses on the way each character connects the canal with the world.Then,the expansion of the theme "going to the world" is interpreted from two aspects.First,it is the extension of horizontal geographic space.The behaviors and thoughts of figures or groups such as Marco Polo,the boxer rebellion and the eight-nation allied forces are shown.The second is to go deeper into the history.Individuals have deeper self-interpretation and self-examination in the process of history,and families have also completed the inheritance,development,replacement and rebirth.The third chapter mainly discusses the ways of expression of Xu Zechen’s novels to realize the theme of "going to the world",including multiple comparative perspectives,the use of typical images,and the design of narrative structure.By analyzing the application of these literary writing techniques,this paper discusses the concrete embodiment of the theme of "going to the world" in the text.In novels,literature is often written from a comparative perspective.Through multiple perspectives of comparison between China and western countries,big history and little people,the process of "going to the world" is more abundant and profound.Xu Zecheng also took the construction of image as a common literary rhetorical device and a metaphor for the "world" in the text,including the image of landmarks and geographical environment,the architectural image group of hometown,the image of daily life and the cultural relic image as props,so as to expand the space of expression of the work.In the narrative strategy of the novels Jerusalem and Going north,the narrative structure of double polyphonic is adopted.Finally,this paper tries to analyze the limitations of Xu Zechen’s novel creation,such as too many coincidences in the direction of "going to the world",the pattern repetition,the thin characters and the mistakes in some details in the narrative process,which may be the areas that need to be improved in the theme writing of "going to the world" in Xu Zechen’s existing literary works.
